I juz bought a nikon D60 last month & im damn happy with it! but sadly.. i have to send it bak to Nikon Malaysia for repair due to LCD flicking under sunlight.. Do u guys faced such issue b4?

O.o flickring only under sunlight? now thats a first... nvr heard before.. i think maybe its too hot and the connection loose somewhere inside gua dun worry...you will get it back soon

I'm planning to get my first dslr soon with a very tight budget, D60. i also plan to buy an additional lens, a nikkor 50mm f1.8. I that heard it took great pictures. Even though it cant auto focus using D60. Is it worth it if i buy that lens? or should i wait until AF-S version come out?

dude...i'm planning to get one as well...just an input here...for the same budget...u can consider canon 1000D as well....

The 50mm f1.8 is great for its price. And Manual Focus is not difficult to learn, and if you don't mind it, go for it. However, I don't think the 50mm f1.8 is going to be refreshed anytime soon... Nikon just refreshed the 50mm f1.4 to AF-S, and I feel that there are many more primes due to be refreshed before the 50mm f1.8.

Then again, I might be wrong....

Alternatively, D80 body-only is at 2k now, you can just get that and the 50mm and have lots of fun!
