Hi Guys.. how often should we changing the bedding? The petshop owner told me once a week... is that fine?

agreed...its like a house. Not like a shop at all. A very welcoming environment. Would love to see more products there though.

@edwinlcw - yep, once a week. Mine overdue for a change 2 days ady no time to change as they keep sleeping when I get back from work and wake up only when I sleep

LOL, that's the thing... dunno why people say they are skinny. We feed them fresh food and Harry Hamster, summore live on Back To Nature Recycled paper bedding, have lotsa hay.....

Of all the hamsters there, the 2 female umbrous bandeds are not so handle friendly. The males all can hold nicely.

Soon more Syrians coming up. The babies at my house need another month before rehoming. Very nice umbrous boy heheheh....

Can sprinkle, can roll into ball also. Anything as long your hamster eats it

if u feeding smoothie. u can skip the eggs cos smoothie contain eggs

u can syringe feed them with the mixture of smoothie & organic vege powder. which is very good enought.. unless its baby or pregnant or nursing hamster. then we need extra calcium n protein.

give them tou fu. they will love it. n that is for protein.

if u can get on hold of LC-Vit. which contain Lysine. its very good for their grow too.

yes finished ur delikate 1st don't waste
i guess there is exp date on the vege powder packing. anyway its dry powder, if u feed until expired. keep it in fridge.. it can still use for 6 mths after expired

vege powder as supplement
smoothie as for a balanced fresh diet
LC-Vit is a multi-Vit with Lysine.

Btw, is the Habitrails Staple Food good enuff or should mix with others?

Habitrail is not so good. It's just full of kuaci and corn that's fattening and also those pellets that you have to force them to take. Better if you add with prestige or harry hamster lor. Make a lil mix with the habitrail you have left.

Haha... always those green color pellets are the left over. I think those things are meant for rabbits. They'll only eat it when there is no other food...

@edwin: try buy a pack of prestige and mix it with ur habitrail until it finished. Pump ur hamsters at young age, they'll stop growing when they reach certain age, so no use when u start to use prestige then. Petshack have all you needs, juz drop by when u r free. If u r lucky enuff, u can meet some sifus there to giv u some useful tips. I'm going there this friday to get my "Chubby Hamster Combo"... haha... but i'm noob...

Get a good feed, not those with corn, seed or nuts, your hamster no need of any other thing except a good feed. Any extra thing you thinking to give is owner's mentality thinking they need, they don't. Feeding high fat food is the result of why hamster only hv 0.5-2 yrs life spend or shorter. With right diet, hamster can live up from 3-5years or even longer.

The pellets are alfafa pellets if I'm not wrong. I heard that it taste a bit bitter wan so hammie don't like. And yes, they will only eat when there's nothing left to eat. Habitrail's only redeeming point is that it's cheap lo.

And yes! If you want a big fat hammie, must pump when young! All living things stop growing at a certain age. After that they can only grow sideways o.

Lol, I have her for almost 2 months dy, my SG. Just put up her siggy only. And yes, they are very fun and very cute creatures but need so much commitment le. Drop by SG thread and see and read up before you decide lar. My bf also fall in love wif SG liao. Sorry for OT.
