I suggest you to get a tank instead of tubes and another cage which is more expensive than buying a tank. You'll also find difficulties when you came to the washing part. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif Tank is better as it's more spacious and transparent, therefore it's easy for you to interact with your hammies and also to 'grab' them. The current cage you have, you can keep it for spare or sell it lor. That's simple. icon_idea.gif

If you just need to go back for few days, don't advise you to bring your hamsters along as they need to adjust themselves to the different environment and they will get stress. My cousin's hamster went back to her hometown with her as she gotta move back permanently, the hamster so stress till bite her sister and he never bite anyone before. He just get so stress. Imagine, your hamsters have to adjust to the new environment and just get adapted and yet gotta shift back to a different environment, how stress they will be? Leave enough food and water and you can leave them for few days without problem unless you are going back for weeks or months without anyone can take care of them, then you can consider bringing them back with car. For me, they are very sensitive with the surrounding and easily get stress.

A tank is the best choice, becoz cage always got chewing prob. no matter wat chew toy u giv, once in while they'll still chew ur bar... haha... And also the bedding wouldn't spill out from the cage when they play or dig.

If they get stress, can lead them to have wet tail which is lethal for hamster. Senawang is not tat far from here, so juz fill up their bowl and bottle, leave it at home. If ur house is grounded, make sure not cats can go inside... tongue.gif

they get stressed so easily? I was actually thinking of doing the same thing...put them in a smaller cage for when I travel.

another thing...do your hamsters make squeaking noise a lot? Mine suddenly started making those noise, which sounded like they're fighting, when the other runs over her. You know how they just walk over each other when playing laugh.gif

I left them for about 4-5 days before. If you worried, then send them for boarding lor. Shyane can help you jaga them also as she is providing boarding service for animals. If you need to leave them about a week, then make sure enough food and water for one week and clean the cage and change the bedding before you leave.

Yes, they easily get stress as they are very sensitive animals. They are very sensitive to sound, light and smell, as your environment changed, everything changed. My hamsters won't have such problem as they are living all alone, that's why I have so many tanks at home sweat.gif hamster will make sound when they are scared or fighting, but WW is very vocal as they will make more noises than others. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Sorry for my forgetful. What kind of breed is your hamster? If WW, they may started to fight and if it does mean they need to be separated. If it's robos, then sometimes they are playing fights, if no injuries, then it's ok. If they fight till one of them have some bite marks then means need to separate also.
