No need to follow ALL items in nezu list lar. Mostly is what they have said Prestige mix with 1/4 Briter Bunny, smoothies, fresh vegie, vegie powder, some dog kibbles (not those Pedigree, Alpo brands that normally can get at supermarket), LC vit, almond (once a while), mealies (as treat), tofu, red dates, oats ...

hi everyone!

I'm a proud Campbell and WW owner.

But there is one thing that made my heart sank : there's something wrong with both of Campbell hamsters.
One is Mika Mouse and the other one is Harry Berry.

Mika Mouse is pooing blood. I noticed that yesterday and I tried to google it all day long. There are too many diseases that show the same symptom.

As for Harry, I noticed a hard lump above its anus. I'm not sure what it is. Again, I've googled it and it stated there that the hamster is either inflicted with ovarian cancer, tumour, rectal prolapse or just constipation. i felt so helpless now and I don't want to give up on them .

I feed them with Harry Hamster mixed with Delikate. Sometimes I give them treats like cucumber slices(very small pieces), broccoli, milky dog biscuits or hard- boiled egg white. I alternate between every treat weekly.

Both of them are females and they are very good friends. They are with me for about 6 months already. They did not lose any weight and still run around and hoard their food.

I've been thinking of taking them to the vets but I am not sure if they treat hamsters.

Any advice from the experts?

My mika mouse ( the one with huge ears)

Harry loves to sleep on her back while eating

I really hope I can get some advice here as I uber-love them. They are my first hamsters and I do not want to lose them although I have more them 20 hamsters now. (They are my only Campbell).

* sob sob*

can't imagine life without these two babies

But don't give those Pedigree or other brands you can get from Supermarket. Those brands are not healthy.

I can't remember the names of dog kibbles I got from PetShack.

You can give about 3-5 pellets per day for syrians.

If I remember that cat kibbles cannot give to hamsters because it's too salty or something which will lead to hair/fur loss for the hamster.

Britter Bunny is for the hamsters' fur. So that it will healthy, soft and shiny (sounds like shampoo commercial tongue.gif ). But there is some who will disagree with using Britter Bunny for hamsters' fur. So it's up to you to decide.

they started to get really fat after 'Mumued Star' was dead because of wet tail.

i din give them pedigree cz those stuff might contain garlic. i gave them dog biscuits that tasted like milk.

i called the vet already but she'll charge me more than RM 50 per hamster.

i am willing to pay but i don't want to get cheated.

that's why i hope through this forum, i can ask all those hammies lovers to at least share their experience or advice.

their cage will be cleaned every 3-4 days because they urinated and pooed a lot. so in terms of hygiene,I think I am doing my best already.

they are fed with vitamins too.

i haven't tried nezu's organic or survivor powder. will these things help?

Is dog kibbles. Not dog treat. Dog kibbles is only as treat for hammies. Cannot feed too much.
