Try wetting the suction area before you stick it on the cage. I do that and the suctions don't come off until I pry it off.

@unknownhammie: If just bought then could be that she was already sick before you bought her.
@ss88: How is the ventilation of your enclosure? Robos tend to sweat a lot and need good ventilation. |

QUOTE(ss88 @ Aug 22 2008, 11:17 PM) the ventilation is ok i think... Sometimes they'll juz playing or sleeping on the sand. Juz make sure they really roll on the sand. And also, make sure their sleeping places are urine free, else they'll sleep on their own urine. i use 1ft tank...and put it in open window room... i do no wut to do more... feel like want to let go them..but,it's like not responsible...huhu... Like my habitrail playground, got one extension yellow box outside the cage, they like to go there and kick off all the bedding and sleep there, and most of the time sleep there together with their urine and poo, therefore i remove the extension. Another thing, they will not bath in the sand if they poo or pee over there many times. U'll need to change new sand in order to let them bath. |

QUOTE(Ally4774 @ Aug 22 2008, 02:53 PM) Look like our SamSam ler... QUOTE(unknownhammie @ Aug 22 2008, 11:06 PM) Sound like what was happened to my DigDig as he died from wet tail after we bought him back. Wet tail can be due to stress. Do check the tail whether is wet or the body is like sweating. If she is then most probably is wet tail disease. This is a fatal disease and they can died within 24 hours if not treated. So sorry for you. What you can do now is, clean the whole cage she stayed before this with antiseptic solution (eg: Delto) and wash with plenty of water to disinfect it, so that the germs will not pass to another hamster in the future. If you male hamster is cage together with your female then please do observe the male from now, get everything change NOW and disinfect the cage. Wet tail is very contagious. |
