QUOTE(Jamien @ Aug 22 2008, 05:36 PM) If your hamster is sick you should bring to a vet lo. Survivor powder only helps give energy and protein. The sickness might not go away. (sorry nezu. not insulting your products. Just scared the WW got virus). What kind of virus? Not sure lo...she seems like no energy lo, still eat like normal. The eyes looks small like that, like barely open. |

QUOTE(Jamien @ Aug 22 2008, 11:11 PM) @unknownhammie: If just bought then could be that she was already sick before you bought her. @ss88: How is the ventilation of your enclosure? Robos tend to sweat a lot and need good ventilation. QUOTE(sangels @ Aug 22 2008, 11:29 PM) Look like our SamSam ler... I go wash now lo.Sound like what was happened to my DigDig as he died from wet tail after we bought him back. Wet tail can be due to stress. Do check the tail whether is wet or the body is like sweating. If she is then most probably is wet tail disease. This is a fatal disease and they can died within 24 hours if not treated. So sorry for you. What you can do now is, clean the whole cage she stayed before this with antiseptic solution (eg: Delto) and wash with plenty of water to disinfect it, so that the germs will not pass to another hamster in the future. If you male hamster is cage together with your female then please do observe the male from now, get everything change NOW and disinfect the cage. Wet tail is very contagious. Not sure...my GF only mentioned today say that when buy, the tail wet wet lor. Haiz...so sad till want cry. |

QUOTE(nezumitaro @ Aug 22 2008, 09:14 AM) It is often found that many people do not possess a strong reading and researching habit. Although there are often long and informative posts on the first page, newbies do not seem to read them and have to be reminded frequently to do so. OMG...baru nampak le. If not i would not get Habitrail ovo, looks too big for my WW. Here I have made some simple and short notes. I sincerely hope that newbies will take at least 5 minutes to read them. Housing & Setup: Winter Whites, Russian Campbell Dwarf Hamsters, Roborovskis and Chinese Dwarfs can be housed in the below cages as well as a 1.5ft Plastic Guppy tank. ![]() Syrian Hamsters need to be housed as below, with either an 8 inch Wodent Wheel or a 21cm Sanko Silent Wheel: ![]() Items needed: - A right size of tank or cage. - A wheel is MANDATORY. - A water bottle - A food dish/bowl - A toilet (if your hamster is toilet trained, Syrians are easy to toilet train) - Bedding: Breeder Celect, Corn Cob, Wood Shavings (no pine, no cedar) BIG NO-NO food!! - Chocolate - Onion - Garlic - Cabbage - Orange - Pineapple - Grapes - Coffee Yesterday my GF tried to feed our WW wif kit kat |
