CHANGING YOUR HDD DOES NOT VOID YOUR PS3 WARRANTY.

i changed my PS3 HDD the first day i got it

let me add to tat.. the longer u wait bfr u add an additional HDD. the more u hv to back up.. and tat would require u to hv another HDD the same storage as yr PS3.

so say u hv a 80gb to start of wit.. after updates downloads and safe files.. say another 80gb.. u'd need to back tat up to copy into the new 320gb (for eg.)

so if u plan to upgrade.. do it frm the start!

Yeah I agree with ruzty, it's better to do upgrade from the start. When I changed my HDD, my backup was more than 30GB. Unless you only want to copy your save files and re-download all the demos and patches again.

Brother the HDD issit sata HDD same as the external hardisk and desktop hardisk??

Only 2.5" SATA HDD(laptop HDDs) can be used by the PS3. Traditional IDE or 3.5" HDDs won't work.

and the quality of the cable bundle SUCZ lol....

i think hav to get myself a hdmi cable....

get a Component or HDMI cable instead..unless you're planning to play on CRT tv

Ironically when they are advertising and promoting the PS3 as a "Full-HD"(yeah right....) console both in forms of games and Blu-Ray movies. Yet they chose to be such cheap-asses in giving consumers composite cables. I may understand that not everyone has a HDTV, thus compositei s needed.

Sony needs to take a page from MS then, MS gives consumers(not their Arcade SKU atleast) both the composite and component connections all together.

haha there is no way u can fit the 3.5 inc in there..... its definitely an external HDD
