QUOTE(Lord_Ashe @ Oct 22 2008, 04:45 PM) Coax can support 5.1 no problem. The problem is if your amp doesn't have an optical input, you'll need to find some way to convert the coax to optical. thanks ya bro!hope can find it here.... QUOTE(SSJBen @ Oct 25 2008, 01:51 AM) NAT type error. thanks yaMake sure your NAT type is either 2 or 1. If not you will have to port forward on your router. Can, use HDMI as your visual display. Select optical out as your audio. Simple. now the biggest prob is i cant find any optical to coax converter here.... |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Nov 6 2008, 02:07 AM) First of all, theres no way in hell.... atleast at the moment, even with the best compression softwares that you'll be able to fit a Full HD 1080p movie with uncompressed 5.1 channel surround LPCM on a DVD. Thats just not possible. Unless you are talking about 1080p movies which are Blu-Ray ripped which severely drops the quality significantly, and its smaller than 9GB then yes you can burn it onto a DVD. iso format is an image format for burning isn't it?However, the PS3 only reads DVD movies which are done in .iso formats, usually MPEG2 encoded. In other words, no different from buying pirated DVD movies. You will need to have the proper burning speed with correct latency timings. If not, start praying everyday on your PS3 lens not to die out. anyway thanks for ur info! think better dun try it....haha |

QUOTE(advocado @ Nov 8 2008, 10:48 PM) A question I keep forgetting to ask. no!Since PS3 Controller is using rechargeable battery, and that we cannot remove/replace the battery, what should we do after few years when the battery starts fading??? I don't wanna treat it as a consumable it's too expensive. And would be a problem if we still want to play it after like 10 years? u can replace it bro just read the manual for how to replace the batt |

"What type of audio input can your receiver handle? Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, PCM 5.1, PCM 2.0, Dolby TruHD, DTS-HD, DTS-HD Master, DTS, etc. Those are many common formats for DVD and Blu-ray movies. You need to manually adjust the PS3's digital optical audio output to include DTS 5.1 and Dolby Digital 5.1. That should be it after that. Set your receiver to input which ever port you are using for your optical cable. If you are using port 1 then make sure you set the input to port 1.
Just know that you aren't going to get Dolby TruHD or DTS-HD Master output out of the PS3. It will encode those formats on the fly to Dolby Digital (or Dolby Digital Plus) or DTS depending on the lossless format used (ie TruHD can only be encoded to other Dolby soundtracks and the same goes for DTS)." is it true? so if i am using the optical cable, and the bluray disc only support Dolby TruHD, i can still enjoy Dolby Digital 5.1 sound?( my amp does not support Dolby TruHD but Dolby Digital) This post has been edited by yujin86: Nov 11 2008, 04:34 AM |
