changing from ferite to aircoil should make noticeable difference. changing from coil to toroid shuld have difference too

I have been reading (as usual), the air core inductors as one DIYer found out, it improves the bass as opposed to the treble.. this I need to find out and verify!

Also I have seen pixs of the T-Amp from some china forum, most of the moded boards left the stock inductors intact.. there must be a reason why..

just did a comparison with my USAmps USA-425 car amplifier

i bought this 2nd hand (or was it 3rd...4th...no idea ) for rm300 or so, best sounding per rm i have ever spend, 4x25w but it sounded kinda powerfull...

they both sounded identical!? hmmmm...with the t-amp having an edge with detials, the USAmps didnt sound this good when it was in my iswara, so i guess car acoustic does make a big difference, same system wont sound the same in another car

altho t-amp is a 9 watter, but dynamic part is comparable, with more details, soundstage and so on is limited by the car i guess, they both sounded the same...hmmm....but t-amp is cleaner, not so muddy kinda feel...

I am still troubled by the 1uH measured on the stock inductor..
However I have removed two from one channel and will install the toroid inductors shortly..

those inductor are to filter out really high frequency, so i think value wont change the sq too much...

mayb you cna try to make a 1uh unit and compare it to the 10uh

Making a 1uH is easily done!
Maybe it's not really worth the trouble.. I dunno ler..
But we'll see how it goes later..

UPDATE:

Just installed the two 10uH toroid inductors onto the first board with 2.0uF input caps.

Commenced audition around 2330 hrs...
