i have this coating thing in my mind. since coating will bond to the paint and create a hard plastic shield. Assuming i do get scratches later(which it will for daily driven car), does using a paint cutter able to remove the coat? or i have to do sanding? ....

Assuming you did the coating, you'll need to machine polish to properly remove the coating layer. If the scratch is not too deep it might even not touch your paint smile.gif Thus the coating act as a protection shield, as you said

just wondering how long does your water bedding effect going to last..until the next coating..any warranty on this?..

The coating lasts one year, with Warranty. We measure the presence of the coating by the water beading.

Paint Cleaning no. Re-waxing yes for the fender/bonnet portion if you want to keep the shine. This week onwards, for coating customers who come in for a wash I incorporate a Speed Wax for it. Cause its really very bad to ask customers to do a wax when there's a coating, figured I'll just incorporate a speed wax to remedy this situation smile.gif

Just came back from Daikin USJ. Ngam ngam, there is a technical guy from Meguiars name B.S. Yap was there in the shop. When he saw my two week tak cuci punya kereta + kotor +raining punya pasal, straight he came to me and tell me my car not protected.

I was like wtf? How he know my car not protected by any wax etc? Because of my car dirtiness? He also tell me that my car have lots of swirl mark. And again i was like wtf? He is on some kind of bionic eye or wat? So i challenge him to show me the swirl mark as well as not protected. He told me that if i wan my car to shine and gloss, i need to do Rm488 full complete Meg package.

Ask him for a demo on how 'gloss' my light colour car can go and he say no problem. I will let u see the significant result after i wash my car. So there he is after washing (Daikin worker wash of course), came to me and started to put compound and fix Even Coat Microfibre Applicator Pads on the polishing tools. He did it for 5 layer of compound on half of my bonet and finally told me can't do much as i need to do sanding. He also commented Daikin shop lack of accesories and the need to change the applicator pad as it's too weak to cut anything. After 5 layer, he polished it with profesional series and uses RejecX for final part.

Of course i can feel the smooth surface in the end of the job but one thing that he said earlier 'significant gloss result' was nowhere to be seen. He told me must see the lighting and need to be seen on certain angle. I was like, hey if it is a 'significant result' should i see in the eye of a pro detailer which must be seen from some angle, ligthing and crap? But no doubt if u see from some lighting, u can see a very sharp looking word (reflection from signboard) but if u see from the untreated bonet, the wording is blurly.

Lastly i ask him about swirl mark on my car that he claimed early on and his answer is too easy. He jes told me can only be seen at night where light are shot to my car. Also can only be seen under bright sun or bright spot light. Ask him to show me by shoting sport light on my car to find swirl mark but he seems to ignore my question. In fact, he only answer 3 out of dozen question i throw to him. Choosy picky question i guess. He will go blah blah blah and u like ya ya, uhu, uhu, but why ... and he will totally ignore it and answer u with different topic and blah blah again. lol

But, he is still a nice guy to chat with and he does have deep knowledge on the product but it's jes anooying when he completely ignoring customer question. At the end thanks him for the demo and left the place.

Took me about an hour ++ there. I have lots of time but jes that 4 cars in Daikin are waiting for me to go out only they can come out from the shop. My car was the first one. Pity them lol. I feel so uneasy for them to wait so long but none of Daikin worker dare to interupt us. Make me paiseh jugak..

PS: btw, there is a thing he show me quite interesting. He claimed to be from Germany. It's call magic sponge. He jes use the white sponge with clear water and manage to wipe out my century dirt on the rubber easily. Last time when i sent my car to polish and interior, the guy told me the dirt canot be save anymore. But this guy only uses the magic sponge and clear water and wipe it off without any big effort. I wonder what is that and he told me cant be bought here. Imported from German. Hope i can find it. Anyone know? It feel like a hard white sponge. I really need it to clean all the dirt in my car. Below is the photo

HAHA i got the magic sponge. yup its from Germany my mum bought me from Pasar Malam for 20 bucks 1 long block. lol u need ka Adrian?

Sup bro, still doing Edifier? Yup my place does interior detailing. RM250 for your size of car smile.gif Mould grow inside lagi sweat.gif

However for Door Trims + Rubber sealings what kind of problem are you facing? If it's leaking/faded, you have to change it. I don't think there's any repair for these kind of things. My rubber trim for my Honda City was also leaking and I changed it for RM120/pcs.

I operating a Car Spa now in Sunway, not accessories shop sweat.gif Sorry can't help you on seals changing. Interior Detailing usually doesn't include detailing of trims since its on the outside but if people requests for it I don't mind doing it smile.gif

Still in touch with other people, like Cath & Kev and all those. We should get together sometimes wink.gif

I got question. Why my white car, the wax adsorbs oil and dirt.
Its like I have to remove the wax by washing with high concentrated soap only the black stains go away. Especially black oil, it just seeps right into the wax......

Does all wax behave this way?
