Hi guys. planning to sell off my auto detailing stuffs. quit clearance sales. No time for me to do part time auto detailing. last time working shift thinking want to do this as part time. cause last time work 1 week 3 days another week one week 4 days. thats why want to try this and went to KC detailing clinic for one time. and then try my own car, my father car and my gf car only. i think my skill still bad so don't dare to do any part time. now i found a new job monday to friday 8.30 ~ 5.30 some times require on call 24 hours. network engineer job is on call and tiring. i love to continue on but i afraid i don't even have time to do it for my own car. the item i sell is cheap have a look.

i see thanks for the info. and y es, USPS delivery is horrible, had many shit experience with them sad.gif

btw between cobra and meguiar's cloths, id reckon cobra's better? whats the difference anyways?

also for optimum waxes, how does it compare to regular wax? (like meguiar's or turtle wax)

i am thinking, if the spray ons really work, perhaps i don't even need to get a DA polisher lol
my general understanding is that spray ons typically last a lot shorter than conventional liquid/paste wax that you use a buffing machine to spread/apply with

as for items i am getting, for starters is the DA polisher... that alone will take up rm400+
and my limit including shipping is under 1k haha

Meguairs cloth is nothing special, you can buy the same waffle weave that Megs marketed as Water Magnet for RM20 flat OEM. Exactly same stuff.

Cobra waffle weave on the other hand, is whole lot different story, pretty much I only need 1 cloth to dry up my whole car. It is much more thick and large in size. I can let you see the real thing for a comparison if you like.

For waxes wise, OCW is generally spray on and easy to apply with patented UV protection. You don't need a DA for waxing really. How does 1 month lasting sounds to you? And wax goes well along with Opti-Seal. But generally nowadays I uses Permanon for general protection, I did not use any wax already.

P/S: Owh, do let me know how much quota of your shipping left hehe... Since RM1000 to USD if really fast to fill up.

original equipment manufacturer. eg: how logitech supplies mouse for Dell systems, which makes them an OEM. or how intel provides processors for HP, same thing, they are OEM too.

Meg's stuffs are 'dirt cheap' at the other side of the pond, unlike the premium price that we have to pay for them over here....

need some advise, not sure whether its the rain or whatelse i cant think of...

even after cleaning with OPC + waxing with megs ultimate wax, after 2 days of rain, the stains start appearing.. cant get rid of it after a normal wash; megs gold class or wash and wax doesnt even clean it properly.

im quite sure last time it wasnt even like that, even after a week after waxing the car using OCW, no matter how heavy it rained, the dirt comes off so easily after each wash.. still dont understand why my car gets stained so easily..

any advise? im currently thinking of trying out permanon since its the cheapest solution for now..

I bought a few from morning market, the boss even let me know the factory in China. That's why I am going to import Cobra quality OEM China factory soon.

Else you want better packaging, OSREN sells it too.. I found it totally same quality though sweat.gif

P/S: Cobra Guzzler easily pawns the normal waffle weave really... I am impressed. I used only 1 cloth to dry 80% of my car (except lower parts, don't wanna stain the cloth) and still without streak, I tried to wring the cloth but it is still too "dry" for any water to come out shocking.gif

you probably have dirt/grime build up somewhere (door handles?) and as rain occurs, the water flushes out some of those dirt and it instantly stains your vehicle. i was actually trying to find the video explanation of it however i can't so you'll have to look for it yourself sad.gif

its normal dude, if it didnt rain and you get stains, then i'd be worried.
OR
if you just washed, dried, THEN get stains then I'd be worried.

btw, what colour is your car?

cant be. coz it happens on the bonnet, roof, everywhere... and btw i wash every week, and wax almost after every wash..

actually i dont mind getting dirt marks on the car after a rain, what really pisses me off is i have to use OPC just to clear off the stain..

@ZeroSP, will permanon help with the rain stain?

white .. normal to have the dirt marks after raining, no issues with that.. but it gets stained so easily, i need strong stuff to get the stains off, either OPC or light polishing..

i wouldnt recommend putting on permanon yet if we dont know the cause of the stain.
would be nice to see it in person or pictures.

Guys, any tips on what product to use to remove some light swirling?

light as in , when shine under sunlight, only some swirls can be seen, not the whole hood - spiderweb

I do not own or have access to a DA polisher , so i've been doing everything by hand

What i did was ,

Car wash , 2 bucket system - ArmorAll car wash ( on budget, and it smells nice tongue.gif)

Clay - Meguiars

Compound - Meguiars Ultimate Compound by hand

Wax - Turtle wax Express shine .

Would appreciate some tips or inputs on better products or methods?

Do not have a budget for a DA polisher, so i'm breaking my arms just to polish the hood alone LOL.

Then you are doing just right by "breaking" your arms tongue.gif... But then wait, Meg's Ultimate Compound for swirls? You need something more light and mild...

And IMHO, compounding never to be done by hand, compounding compound needs much more force and heat to properly break down.

compound > polish (can get the turtle wax polish i guess? lol) > then wax smile.gif

but um, compound rubbing and polishing by hand, oh god lol... even with a DA polisher it takes time, manual hand.... sad.gif

ps: i'm going to go through the manual polishing method too, hopefully this weekend i'll get to start my detailing project and no more further delays
