I tried the Nikon DSLR that has Max Aperture of f3.7 to take pictures of my LX3 ...
I forgot the model but it's quite a cheap DSLR

Guess what, I have difficulties shooting good photos without turning on the flash.
But if I turn on the flash I can't put the camera too near because the lens would block some flash light. laugh.gif

Here's my advice, DON'T GET A CHEAP DSLR. LOL!

Hey guys,
I've finally got my own Black LX3 from Pixels at Pavilion (but they then redirected me to Key Color at Midvalley to pick up stock and swipe card for installment plan.  doh.gif )
got it for RM1799, but felt abit cheated because the 4GB memory card is not even SDHC, its a normal SD card from Nikon! D:

set includes
-Nikon mini-tripod
-screen protector
-pouch
-JVC travel bag (free)
-4GB Memory card

Show us the photo that what your purchase included?
Kind of curious for the Nikon Mini tripod, pouch and JVC bag.

I got mine in Harvey Norman, I am not with it now, so didn't recall the brand.
It seems quite stylish and can read almost everything now. And very fast!
RM75. Quite a few colors green n pink and etc. I got mine pinkish! tongue.gif

What I see here is that it isn't the DSLR that is causing the problem, but you don't know how to utilize it properly.
What's more the aperture depends on the lens used. yawn.gif yawn.gif

Oh, so you would suggest Ppsprov to get a DSLR at the same price of the LX3, then get the lens (a few hundred bucks) just to match/beat LX3's performance?

That's very bright of you laugh.gif

Price ranges from 1550 to 1700+ depending on the freebies you're getting.

It's going to be more expensive in Australia. But do note that if you buy within 1 month before departure. You can claim back GST from the camera.

EDIT: at the airport smile.gif

Today went to KLCC saw LX3 unopened box in one of the camera shop.
Ask the salesperson what's the price, it is RM1650 with BLACK LX3!

Those who are interested can go over n buy it. Last piece. No display.

I am thinking to buy this for my gf since she gave away her fujifilm f31fd to her mom... She actully like the f31fd and was thinking to get f100fd since it is an upgrade for f31. I suggest her to get this but she complain is overpricing and refuse for this nice panny lx3 and still intend to get f100fd.. This just make me in dilemma now since i do know f100fd still not good enough compare to the legendary f31fd...
