My dad opened up his LX3 for xmas..... but I want to play with it more!
He seems to be having fun with the awesomely wide screen aspect ratio.
Will have to upgrade his firmware now though......

I've finally got my own Black LX3 from Pixels at Pavilion (but they then redirected me to Key Color at Midvalley to pick up stock and swipe card for installment plan. )
got it for RM1799, but felt abit cheated because the 4GB memory card is not even SDHC, its a normal SD card from Nikon! D:

need some help on the setting from you sifus, How do I get my shutter speed to above 1 second for night shots?
even at [P] setting it won't let me go slower than 1 second.

Eh, I got mine from Pixels just maybe a week back.
got it for RM1570 with Screen Protector, Kingston 4 gig card, Leica Bag, Sony Bag and a Nikon backpack.

yeah, as I said, a little dissapointed with the purchase. Too late for that now.

got to add 4% for the credit card swipe lerr. hence the higher price i guess...

If you limit your ISO at P mode and depending on the lighting around. The shutter speed will decrease.

But if you wanna set it yourself, go to S (Shutter Priority) or M (Manual).

any card reader recommand?
i just bought one all in 1 card reader brand AVF, it read very slow from my sandisk utra 8 gb card.

I check at Pixels Pavillion yesterday too, with the specky old guy. He quote me RM1699 with the same package. I asked him if he still got black unit besides the diplay set, he open the cabinet below, saw that still got a few more black units. There is one booth at Lowyat first floor, by the escalator, quoting me RM 1650 for black unit. Display unit though, but wrap nicely with plastic polystyrene (the plastic food wrap).

There is a new shop, Amara-something, on the first floor. Just open on 22 Dec 2008. Still got flowers outside the shop. They quote me RM1599, silver unit only. Package include pouch, Lumix pouch, 4GB SDHC. Went there next day and got my silver unit for RM1550 They have another shop at Damansara Cineleisure. Not sure if they have the black unit there or not, anyone interested might want to check it out.

it probably takes over 1000 to fix. coz pana tech service is sux. whenever got some damage. they will ask u to change the whole thing.

I'm using a Kingston card reader........ very good speeds so far. All the low-end card readers like AVG or other Chinese no name brands I've tried so far ALWAYS fail me. One of them literally went up in smoke when I was in Italy this year.

just wondering if the black Ricoh LC-1 lenscap mount on the silver LX3, wat it is look like...coz i kind of interested in the lenscap, but my LX3 is silver...

anyone want to sell out your LX3? i just want to get a second hand 1. pm me your price pls thank you

I dunno about the LX-3, but on my DSLR the cable only manages around 5mb/s.
Using my chicken brand reader, transfer speeds can reach 15mb/s.
