Hi all,

Been checking this topic for quite a while, did not post anything as not yet get my LX3. tongue.gif
Willing to learn more about you guys over here.

A few concern that I am facing:

1. Can I get a spare battery from ebay, or must I use back a Lumix battery?

2. Any difference between 46mm and 52mm lens?
The shop keeper proposed me 52mm lens, telling me 46mm parts are hard to find. Is this the main reason?

QUOTE(avrilfreak87 @ Nov 24 2008, 11:02 AM)
Here are some that I've taken with LX3 few weeks ago. Single shot RAW.  smile.gif
3. Any diff between Raw / Jpeg?

Thanks a lot! biggrin.gif

HD Vid recording mode cannot AF 1 IIRC from reading the manual.
Yes 52mm is a more common size. 46mm is very rare in KL.

Thanks, it is pretty kind of you. Not sure whether there are Lumix parts for LX3 ald?

I am thinking of getting something to protect the lens... Should I put,

A. Crystal UV filter (like earlier someone posted)
user posted image

or B. Lens adapter with UV lens

which will be your suggestion, and why? TQ!

AIYA! If only I saw your post earlier... I just paid deposit for one at 1699 for only 4GB x 1, tripod & case...
Adding RM128 for extra 2 years warranty some more... *cries*
(Have to add RM50 for another 4GB)

You pay by cash or credit card?  I agreed w 1699 cause I can pay via credit card w 12 mths interest free installment... of course lah have to add RM60 for bank charge.

*sigh*   sad.gif
*
It is 0% 12 mths installment, no extra charge offer by one very friendly salesperson.
He is really helpful and nice guy, I did not bring my card so not yet buy. tongue.gif

I have not shot panoramic photos before with LX3. How to shoot it? Need tripod?

I've tried shooting panoramic photos using camera phone (with 3rd party software) and there is this guideline layer so that I can follow and continue the 2nd shot

Does LX3 has that function somewhere hidden inside?
*
The panorama 4 software was included in the CD installer,
there were a few tips given on the 1st pop up screen after u run the software.

Using a tripod or not is it not a must.
Like the one in my room, I used tripod.

Turn off the flash, use 25% or 50% to over lap.
Do not change the size of the photo...

Quite fun, you will love it! biggrin.gif

U were using auto focus or manual?
Try playing with manual focus, it gives u more control over your "bokeh"  nod.gif
*
Thanks, it is very nice of you. I normally use Auto Focus.
Not to sure how to use the Manual Focus... >"<

QUOTE(neo_strut @ Dec 11 2008, 04:46 PM)
i agree that manual focus gives more control, ....but it takes up too much time to adjust with the mini joystick...

i normally do this....
1. Auto focus at the subject in the middle of the screen (half press the capture button until u see green rectangle on screen).
2. Hold it (the capture button). Your focus is locked at the focal length or subject.
3. Move your camera to your final capture and fire ur shot (completely press capture button).
4. Voi⋅là....
