QUOTE(sherdil @ Oct 12 2008, 02:18 AM) No, but of course taking pictures of the snow itself is a problem.. Any specific problem on taking snow photo? such as fog and etc.....It wont affect your photos. Seen a lot of people buying this camera at USA,England.etc..no one has complained. Cheers Anyone can share thier exprience? |

QUOTE(PCHo @ Oct 12 2008, 08:28 PM) Not sure how the LX3 will perform at extreme temperatures. Is ok. will share the exprience once i come back from my trip :-DBut my Lumix FX01 did withstand the extreme cold temperatures of more than -10 degrees at 3500 meters above sea level without even a single hiccup. Guess the LX3 can do the same. But I think the performance might vary from each camera depending on luck. |

QUOTE(adewhite @ Oct 13 2008, 10:53 AM) Just keep in mind a few things. Thanks man!~~i think this already helps!1. Cold temp affects battery life. This is normal. I experience this every time I climb Mount Kinabalu. 2. White balance in places like ski resort (mostly white) can be tricky. Not so much in the cities where there are more colour variations. Experiment a bit with a few shots so you know what to expect. 3. Condensation that forms as you go in and out of cold and warm places can be bad on the camera, esp lenses. Just like what happens to your glasses as you walk out of aircon'd room. I didn't have much problem with this in the UK a couple of weeks ago, but it is something to be aware of. There are a lot of resources out there about these points - Google is your friend (Edit: Spelling) |

QUOTE(kvyeoh @ Oct 15 2008, 06:21 PM) I finally got my LX3 (black colour). I think the market is out of stock for black colour. I went to Sg.Wang, Low Yat, BB Plaza, Time Squre and KL Plaza, all of them are out of stock. I was nearly give up at the time and thinking of look at somewhere else like Digital Mall or Mid Valley. Since I was there and why not to Pavilion and try my luck. Thanks God there is a LX3(black colour) waiting for me at Pavilion. Thanks for the info. i was thinking of going to Pavillion today to buy the camera but unfortunately..time not permitted...I got it for RM1600. It's including Panasonic SDHC 4GB memory and a Lumix Pouch. Additional RM15 for screen protector. Plus free me a Sony mini pouch which is bigger than the Lumix pouch they gave me. (Since is free, who cares is Sony or not) hehe... I told the supervisor that I got some friends are interested LX3 black colour too. So, if anyone here can't find it at any place maybe you can try to call them before you go. Sorry, the unit I bought is the last one according to them. I believe they will top up the stock soon. Here's the contact Lot 1.32.00, Level 1, Pavilion Tel:03-2142 6486 I'll post the pouch/case they gave me later. Cause the battery is charging now. hehe... Anyway, is the price same for silver color LX3 in the shop you mentioned? you pay by card or by cash ah? |

I didn't ask for silver colour price at the place I bought. Yes, I paid cash. Yo Bro. Have been to the shop you mentioned at Pavilion (The one which beside Maxis). The RRP is RM 1799.They offered me RM 1750 (if pay by cash). Include SDHC 4GB and case. Black color and Silver color is same price. How did u get RM 1600 anyway? |

QUOTE(kvyeoh @ Oct 16 2008, 02:14 PM) Are you sure you went to the correct shop? I can't remember is there a Maxis shop beside. The shop it's called Pixels Sdn. Bhd. I went in and while they checking the price I told them Sg.Wang is offering RM1550 but silver colour. You can look for Logy(Supervisor) and tell him a guy who bought a black colour at RM1600 introduce you to come. If you want maybe I could help you to call them. Is ok :-D i will try to ask few more shops in Sg wang and low yat first.Added on October 16, 2008, 2:17 pm Ops..so sorry I key in the number wrongly. Tel:03-2141 6486 Will PM you if need help.....
