Somebody make a comparison of the LX3 with G10 please laugh.gif
I'm confused ! Both of these machines have their ups and downs ... In terms of specification.

What do you guys think of the image quality of these 2?

I also noticed nobody uses anything more than ISO 800 for any pictures. So it doesn't make any difference lah having an extra 3200 ISO in the LX3 than in the G10 ...

Sensor Question
1/1.63" bigger or 1/1.7" bigger? 1/1.63 bigger right ?

The 100% crop ... seems abit noisy. Is that considered good or bad ?

Can a DSLR take a noiseless night shot ?

the slow shutter will compesate the darkness and make the picture brighter...
So use low ISO
the best is do it in a pitch black place...

need to agak use how many seconds without over expose the lights...

If u wanna freeze the object let say the human

use 10 seconds shutter..then use flash....once take picture...and it flashed...then the object can move around and draw picture

or u can ask another person...to help..set to 30 seconds or longer....need a black cloth...if wanna draw nicely..need to close the lenss with the black cloth

What the ... you can't even take pictures under some rain ??

You sure your mom said only a little bit of rain ? Because I've been using my Olympus for quite many times under the rain. Nothing happens ..

wow! Looking at kevin7ae's pics making me drool. Even such a small compact cam can produce that kinda bokeh is awesomeness. But I disagree with threadstarter, LX3 isn't the king ler......... Leica D-Lux 4 is the KING!  tongue.gif
*
?? Leica D-Lux ... The spec difference isn't that big. The only big difference is the price ... 2.5 times more expensive than the LX3 ...
Not a all rounder king I would say ...

Hahahaha.....u call that a problem?

ACtually for me, I think the distortion levels are bit more than what i expected.
Maybe due to the aspect ratio also (I like my photos in 3:2 mode).
Sometimes the lens produces some really distorted faces.

Do the calculation ... it's still RM 1625 ... And I'm not even sure if they give freebies or not.
I calculated with 1 AUD = 2.5 RM
