Guys,

Lately, when I turn the steering to the max(taking a small roundabout..etc). seems the car doesn't want to 'center' itself when moving straight. means that at the maximum turning point, when it is time for moving straight, it will not center the steering until I adjust it a bit. what's wrong? icon_question.gif

Agreed. I don't trust these sort of things.. better buy other thing like exhaust systems, drop in filter etc.. which the result is proven.

we mod the intake system to make it breath freely but adding those gadget will make blockage and disrupted the air flow. How can it give better performance? rclxub.gif

Anyone knows how to adjust the headlight higher? Not by using the leveller control but manual one. So I can use the HID as highbeam by using the leveller control.

normally engine have 2 fan...one for aircond n another one for cooling the engine...that is fan that cooling the engine....it will run untill the engine is cool or turn off...too me its normal...all car is operate the same system.the diff only that proton fan sound abit loud compare to other engine especially honda..they have quiet fan when operating..for example..when u arrive at home after hectic long journey...u can notice that ur fan will running quite long...too me nothing to be worried....

for example..when u arrive at home after hectic long journey then u turn off ur engine...then few second u try to on the engine...not to start it...the fan will continue fan-ning back(sory if salah words laugh.gif )....

but if the fan still operating after u shutdown the engine...that is serious problem laugh.gif  laugh.gif  icon_rolleyes.gif

just want to share...my fren gen2 rosak his fan...the entire radiator fan with the aircond fan need to be replace...my fren said...ur lucky waja got seperated fan....soo if either one is rosak no need to chnage both...dammn issit true??wah lucky...he said pesona gen2 n gen2 cps will facing the problem..
*
Yes, I know. the one im talking about is the Radiator Fan not the Condenser Fan(Aircond Fan).
The fan is not to cool the engine, but to cool the heat extracted out from the engine to the Radiator to be cool by air(fan or wind).
In normal condition, the Radiator Fan should run when the engine is Hot and should be off when the Idling or even should be off when we driving at highway, and vice versa intermittently. Why, becos the fast moving air is enough to cool the Radiator and yet it must be running intermittently again.

In other words, Radiator Fan should run On and Off not full time all the way. Same goes to the Condenser Fan aka Aircond Fan.
I know definitely this is abnormal and will bring to service center.
You guys check if you have the same problem.

How? Start your engine, the RADIATOR fan should not run(or will be running if the engine is still very very! hot). NO AirCond please.
After few minutes or rev the engine in N gear, you will notice now the Fan will start spinning.. and let the engine to IDLE and in few minutes, the RADIATOR must OFF and this cycle will repeat again automatically.
This is how an internal combustion engine Cooling system should work under normal condition.

on the actual headlights there are 2 sets of screws, turn the outer set clockwise or vice versa to get the height you want

or u can always make the effort to read the manual.

hi suff, interesting article u got there. thanks for the tip anyway.

there is another reason for me to hold back as well. having being a wira user for the past 5 year and on automatic nearly 99% with every other vehicle, I'm trying to re-learn the beauty of manual transmission again (which is one of the factor to draw me to buy the 1.6M waja). so getting used to this new car is also something a bit of extraordinary for me. i need to readjust my skills to accomodate this car which is a little more bigger (to my perception) and also the limited rear view (compared to wira).

most importantly, i'm getting the brakes to bed in as well. my vehicle is an 08 model and god knows how long has it been sitting out there in the sun. i was checking the tires for flat spots. i believe the flat spots tends to happen when the car has been left out there too long (maybe 6 mths++?). so far no signs of it yet; so i guess i must've been too worried about it.

my tire valves covers and the cigarette lighter are missing!!  mad.gif  will ask the SA for it on monday. saturday (today) wan to do other things first tongue.gif

overall, i have no complaints yet (touch wood)

enjoying the car as it 'grows'. teehee...

Added on January 17, 2009, 5:54 am

i've tried the surbo unit in my wira very long time ago. the result was better as that was my perception then. after scientifically measuring the fuel consumption and a few weeks later, the effects are totally gone. sorry ar... bro suff not to 'anti-stim' to ur post. but that was the VDO on wira tat i'm comparing to. waja i dunno wat type of ECU running (maybe a bit different).

I would think the best way to get more air into the engine at early stage of modding would be the high flow air filters like K&N which is really good (provided you clean the filter regularly if there are lots of dust/dirty air in ur area).

i might consider the high flow air filter upgrade path in future after i'm more settled into the payment loans.. hehe.. i dun intend to start modding before the 1st few services (less chances of getting warranty void).

icon_rolleyes.gif peace mates!!

yeah i think ur making a point here..it is better to play safe i guess.. nod.gif

thanks for the tip anyway..

ok noticed u said drop in filters..for open pod filters many stuff have to be added rite ( cold air intake, heat shield ) ? comparing this two types of improvement..which one do u think will give bigger output ( as in hp )? but for me..i think i'll choose drop in..not sure to use open pod ( wif everything ) becoz of the possible hot air unsure.gif

maybe send back to SC if under warranty or check with your local mech. i think you can start by checking a few condition prior to sending in to ur mech / SC. try n test if the steering will self centre if the wheel are turned nearly 85%. if can, then try 100% again. note the difference and tell to ur mech. per-diagnostics will help ur mech/SC to pinpoint the issue faster. sorry i can't be of any further help. do inform us of the updates.

most importantly, pls do this in a safe area. u dun wan surprises when a motorbike decides to cut ur lane when you are doing roundabout turns.

can adjust it on top of our HID unit. i think its yellow '+' screw. cheers.

one thing i notice though, my hid will shake when going over uneven roads/go into potholes (just hit one just now). is it loose/smth? is it normal? coz i'm wondering with the levelling mechanism we have, is it cable attached or motorized inside the xenon?

6) haaa..this one i wanna ask u guys since i dont have experience driving this car..gears was very hard for me to do a shift when i 1st driving it ( it happens when i push the clutch pedal to its max..the gears seems like stuck or somethin..however, when i angkat my kaki a little bit..it can be shifted like normal cars would do..was it the new system?  hmm.gif
Hi.. Welcome to the club... thumbup.gif

About the gear, i'm also having the same prob.. But don't know if not push 100% it ok.. Mine is gen2 cps. After a few month, the gear is ok or people call it 'masak' .. But some time if too gelojoh or panic, it really hard to engage the first gear...
