hi guys..im new around here..was very glad to know that there are cps members around.. just got my car yesterday ( gen2 manual nanbu black )..n now im finding a gang members.. btw..ok..donno wat to post but i think i'll just give my summary about my 1st impression about this car..

Advantages :-

1) 1st n most important - Engine..hmm..quite satisfied..but i was hoping for something like the VTEC / MIVEC ( just dreaming of coz.. ) but somehow..im quite satisfied...thats the 1st thing why i chose this car..bigger head than normal CAMPRO..hmm..its like type-R for campro i guess..

2) Bought it wif 3k discount..so glad about that..

3) Interior wise - hmm..ok..looks quite nice n feel quite nice..so my 1st newborn baby will enjoy the big space soon!!

4) Suspension - quite satisfied..n now my wife cant complaint at me anymore coz my satria was on adjustable..

5) Hi Rev engine - cant wait to put some stuff in it..

Disadvantages ( to be blame on proton ):-

1) why in the hell my odo was about 164 when i 1st drive it..!@#$!!

2) seat belt light not working - they told me this was a new features long2 time ago.. then why u put it then?

3) power window controller function seems kinda weird!! ( push the button n im the one who cant control the other 3 mirror )

4) Sun visor ( the thing above the driver's head ) got mirror?? salah pasang ke??

5) switch on the car ( not starting it , i donno wat u call this ) ...why aircond was on by default?

6) haaa..this one i wanna ask u guys since i dont have experience driving this car..gears was very hard for me to do a shift when i 1st driving it ( it happens when i push the clutch pedal to its max..the gears seems like stuck or somethin..however, when i angkat my kaki a little bit..it can be shifted like normal cars would do..was it the new system?

so..thats my introduction..for me i think new cars shouldnt have prob at all rite? i know la my car was manufactured on 2008 n its like ending the year's manufacturing already..but proton please la..where's your QC?? annual leave ke? lucky im buying this car only because of the engine..if the engine got prob as well..i'll curse u like my 7 keturunan wont buy ur product at all after this..

When I pay, the price is RM145 each. Then need to go to cutomer service counter, fill in a form and get back the refund. I suspect the put the wrong price tag. Damn, should have bought another 2.

i've drove both campro and cps gen2... dont remember any having auto aircond... if auto aircond means on da aircond and it will adjust the speed base on the temp, my mums waja premier have it... those waja with wood trims...

I suspected the same actually. But got a surprise call today saying my car is here and can be registered on Monday/Tuesday!!! My car is FINALLY arriving!! But too bad, only get to drive a couple of days as next Saturday balik kampung already...by flight.

i just got my new waja today too. Manual transmission. twilight blue. registered in batu pahat johor. about same location as sphiroth albeit 10-15kms away.

so far just adjusted the headlights up a bit to project further. those HID really... BRIGHT!! i think the car is really a good deal.

tmr will go for windows tint and cabin sensor for the alarm.

so far no complaints on the car, but the engine really feel very very hot after initial run. now upshift at 3k rpm to run in the engine. after a few hundred kms.. will try out the CPS.. nyek nyek nyek...

last nite i took out my surbo from my other car n installed it in my cps..performance wise, felt a slight difference wif the pickup.. ( not too sure whether it was the cps or the surbo ) buttt...i think my FC reduced a little bit..when i 1st got the car it was 7.3 +- 0.1 n today its like 6.7 +- 0.1 n i was wondering when can i decat my extractor ( sorry mother nature!! )..quite rugi coz the warranty was 5 years..maybe it could void the warranty..

there is another reason for me to hold back as well. having being a wira user for the past 5 year and on automatic nearly 99% with every other vehicle, I'm trying to re-learn the beauty of manual transmission again (which is one of the factor to draw me to buy the 1.6M waja). so getting used to this new car is also something a bit of extraordinary for me. i need to readjust my skills to accomodate this car which is a little more bigger (to my perception) and also the limited rear view (compared to wira).

most importantly, i'm getting the brakes to bed in as well. my vehicle is an 08 model and god knows how long has it been sitting out there in the sun. i was checking the tires for flat spots. i believe the flat spots tends to happen when the car has been left out there too long (maybe 6 mths++?). so far no signs of it yet; so i guess i must've been too worried about it.

my tire valves covers and the cigarette lighter are missing!! will ask the SA for it on monday. saturday (today) wan to do other things first

overall, i have no complaints yet (touch wood)

enjoying the car as it 'grows'. teehee...

Added on January 17, 2009, 5:54 ami've tried the surbo unit in my wira very long time ago. the result was better as that was my perception then. after scientifically measuring the fuel consumption and a few weeks later, the effects are totally gone. sorry ar... bro suff not to 'anti-stim' to ur post. but that was the VDO on wira tat i'm comparing to. waja i dunno wat type of ECU running (maybe a bit different).

I would think the best way to get more air into the engine at early stage of modding would be the high flow air filters like K&N which is really good (provided you clean the filter regularly if there are lots of dust/dirty air in ur area).

i might consider the high flow air filter upgrade path in future after i'm more settled into the payment loans.. hehe.. i dun intend to start modding before the 1st few services (less chances of getting warranty void).

Apart from various method/tecgnique/theory of engine break-in, out engine are already been break -in during its manufacturing process using a machine. Saw it during the Proton technology day.

good...cps citizen would be bigger..
