inverter? it sounds like what would happen on inverter aircond... which is normal. if not inverter then u should call for the shop's technician.
why does auto off for inverter is normal ??? Household [Home Appliances] Air-con

QUOTE(it.fusion @ Apr 8 2011, 10:19 AM) i had bought Mitsubhishi 1.0HP aircon last 3 months ago... but still then its sometimes works fine..and sometime just off by itself.. and the two lights start blinking and off .. Does your aircon come with the manual? Check the manual see what is the light mean.i seldom use it till few weeks back and found out that it keep off after a while lets say like 15-30 min... even if i off it and on back.... it will repeat the same... what could be the issue ? shall i go back to mitsubhisi or the place i bought the air cond for warranty ? |

Anyone know how to take out the blower to clean? Something DIY. I tried open the cover but can't find any place to take out. Cleaning the filter doesn't not help much, if u see the blower from near bottom you will surpised how dusty the air con is.

yes you need different pipes if the inverter is running on R401A and not R22 (only daikin runs on the old R22 to my knowledge). if you plan for the long run, better get new piping as the old gas is beeing phased out.

Cos i'm told that inverter actually blast full power until it reaches the desired temp. For a living room, it wont be efficient, infact it will even cost more. |

i think R401A is only used for inverter type aircons. but i never looked around for non-inverter because my place AC is always on.
but: the savings for inverter on not so cold settings is extreme. if you intend to regularly ac a room i'd go for inverter. they will last longer than normal acs as well cause there is less wear and tear so the extra you pay upfront will recoup pretty quickly even if you only on the unit for a few hours per day. assume the inverter will last you 2-3 years longer and then calculate the average cost per year. break even is nearer than you think if you consider all things. also keep in mind that electricity wont get cheaper but more expensive in the near future. |

I'm thinking to change my 3yr old LG because I can't stand the loud "blowing" noise. Yes, I do servicing regularly but even with chemical cleaning it is still very loud. Anybody using the new Panasonic econavi ? is it quiet?

i got the previous models from panasonics inverter range. they are pretty quiet.
btw: chemical cleaning doesnt help too much imho. just a wash and some lubricant is fine for me. if the blower is too loud why not set it to low? |

Electrical appliances or anything else is sometimes luck driven. It happened to the best quality control manufacturers.

Just finished installing 2 units of aircond. 1 Pana inverter S10MKH, 1 Samsung AV10.
Both 1HP. Samsung is RM1100, Pana RM1120. I think both are quite cheap. Bought from shops beside tesco Puchong. Installation: RM250 = 2 wall hacks + 15 feet copper another one: RM430 = 2 wall hacks + 23 feet copper so installation is RM200 + RM10/feet Install-day review: Panasonic: Smaller outdoor unit and quieter, more active feature like econavi/comfort, powerful/quiet function, auto/cool/dry mode, patrol control for dust detection/e-ion generation. Samsung: Larger outdoor unit, slightly noisy but i think still in quiet region. Got turbo mode, virus doctor, multiple filter for dust, germ and whatnot. I installed Panasonic in my room, so I might be biased but I'd recommend Panasonic over Samsung. |

I showed him a note on my phone that I get RM1180 from another shop(wasn't really my intention to haggle using it). He straight away offered RM1120 if take right away, cash.
