Just finished installing 2 units of aircond. 1 Pana inverter S10MKH, 1 Samsung AV10.
Both 1HP. Samsung is RM1100, Pana RM1120. I think both are quite cheap. Bought from shops beside tesco Puchong.
Installation: RM250 = 2 wall hacks + 15 feet copper another one: RM430 = 2 wall hacks + 23 feet copper
so installation is RM200 + RM10/feet
Install-day review: Panasonic: Smaller outdoor unit and quieter, more active feature like econavi/comfort, powerful/quiet function, auto/cool/dry mode, patrol control for dust detection/e-ion generation.
Samsung: Larger outdoor unit, slightly noisy but i think still in quiet region. Got turbo mode, virus doctor, multiple filter for dust, germ and whatnot.
I installed Panasonic in my room, so I might be biased but I'd recommend Panasonic over Samsung.

I showed him a note on my phone that I get RM1180 from another shop(wasn't really my intention to haggle using it). He straight away offered RM1120 if take right away, cash.

RM1150 seems like a good price. can share where do you get this? @lingleeyen: Yeap I think 1200 is quite okay ady. Don't want to spend more time going here and there.

just came back from harvey normal. They have hitachi Inverter with free installation:
1hp: RAS-S10CZ RM1199 1.5hp: RAS-S13CY RM1599
I already bought Daikin Inverter 1HP RM1350 incl installation from Jintex for bedroom. Now considering to take 1.5hp for living room.
Anyone have thought about Hitachi's aircond? not really familiar with it.

QUOTE Actually, which outlet offer the most reasonable aircon? Jintex, Legend, Onking.....? Any opinion? I'd suggest to call on them and ask for specified model price. Some can offer certain model cheaper than the rest. This post has been edited by irwan6179: Jun 18 2012, 10:24 AM

QUOTE(Shazzac @ Jun 20 2012, 02:26 PM) Sigh, just found out that my condo's aircon carbon piping installed is the thinner one. I guess maybe need to settle with Daikin Inverter R22 airconditioner now...... Hopefully pricing wise will be cheaper but wondered if anyone's using it and power consumption the same as R410A ones? It shouldn't affect much. at most, a few percent of efficiency different only. resource: http://www.fire.nist.gov/bfrlpubs/build02/PDF/b02186.pdf

I went on Onking bandar puteri. They quoted RM1610 for Pana inverter deluxe 1.5HP including installation. That's the best price I can find for Pana.

QUOTE(kimsim @ Sep 18 2013, 03:16 PM) If you're the user then you will realised what I meant. Cause I got my experience from R22 inverter changed to R410a inverter within a year.. Are they the same brand and make? Sometimes even with same manufacturer also have different btu for each unit. I don't think it's because gas type, but the compressor and mechanical difference.
