Hi, thank you for the info smile.gif. If you could post a video showing the changing filter part, it would be great, thanks. Also, we all know that nothing lasts forever, so may i know on average how long do customers need to change the faucet (if the interior of the faucet becomes filled with algae ?? will this happen?) or eplace the whole set?. thanks thanks notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Guys,
Can you advise me on which type of water filtration system to use for my house which is already equipped with hot and cold water on most taps by the developer. Do I need to get the outdoor and indoor filters too?
*
YOu can get 3M APDWS1000, just connect the cold water into the filter. It would be better to get an outdoor filter to provide clean water for your whole house and also to prolong the life of your tap fittings and indoor water filter. I would recommend you to get our 3M Promotion package APDWS1000 (indoor) + AP902 (outdoor)

Does this mean that only the cold water is drinkable? Is there any way to enable both hot and cold to be drinkable?

saw alphamax water filter earlier
outdoor unit is NSF 61 certified (A4080 and A4085)
A4085 is taller, tongue.gif
A4080 is RM1799 while A4085 is RM1999
get will free alphamax indoor filter AMAX-08T (worth RM899) by paying extra RM89.

AMAX-08T has 5 filters inside, one pre-filter outside, cost RM340 to change 5 filters ( 1year).

outdoot unit A4080 and A4085 no need to change anything, as we need to performa manual backwash for 2 minutes (every 1-2 week)

anyone who has heard or using it, mind to share their experience here?

we discussed this before in some time ago. Checked alphamax website d, the model should b A0840 & A0845.

1) NSF 61 is mainly on components and not the performance of the filtration.

2) The salesperson might tell you that you do not need to change anything but you will need to change the sand and microz averagely 3 years once.
Alphamax is OEM by Perfect Steel. Since they are the same, i cant c why Perfect Steel requires changing of sand while Alphamax do not need to change
anything. Have a look at below, i highlighted the spec for both filters, they even use the same wordings.

Attached Image Attached Image

3) Cant comment much on the indoor water filter (AMAX-08T) as they didnt post the spec online. However, i doubt they have any NSF certificates on their performance. The filter look cheap and ugly.

If you are looking for a good sand filter and indoor combination. I would recommend
Perfect Steel G2 series (similar to Alphamax A1040, better than A0840 & A0845) + 3M AP Easy Complete = RM 1750 only with our Merdeka Promotion.
Attached Image

3M AP Easy complete has NSF standard 42 and 53, these two standards show that it can filter odor, chlorine and bad contaminants.

However, for better filtration i would recommend 3M AP902 (POE filter) + 3M APDWS1000 (POD Filter)

thanks for the reply.
yeah should be A8040 and A8045

so how you compare G2 vs A902?
G2 is using sand filter (5 micron) and A902 is using membrane filte (5 micron as well)
I bet is A902 is better since G2 is NSF 62 only.

every 3 years need to change sand and micro z....may I know how much is that?
thanks

=====

for indoor one, the AMAX-08T doesn't need any drilling...just connect two small hose to the head of the tap.
anything from 3M that is like this?
thanks

I used to think, Good sand filters like Perfect Steel & Alphamax have filtration upto 5 micron and 3M AP902 also 5 micron, so why bother getting 3M ?

Here is the answer.
Sand filter's 5 micron filtration is the lowest it can go but after sometime, it can go upto 15-20 micron. For example, you go to the beach, you poke your finger into the sand, may b your finger can go in by 1". Then, you pull your finger out and poke again, you will get in by 1.5". Similarly, when it is brand new, the dirt will get filtered by the sand but when u backwash and filter again it is similar to finger poking into the sand. That is why it wont maintain at 5 micron all the time.

3M AP902 on the other hand is using a special pleated membrane with pore size of 5 microns. Anything more than 5 micron cant go through and the pore size wont expand. So, you have consistent 5 micron clean filtration. FYI, 3M membrane is different from those UF stainless steel membrane filter.

Yes, AMAX-08T does not require any drilling but putting that big filter above your table top is ugly and wasting space isnt it? Wouldnt it b nicer to install it like this?

I have a question regarding membrane filter for outdoor use (e.g.Nesh), it claims 0.01micron filtration. I'm wondering with this fine filtration, does chlorine molecules get removed from the water? I always thought only carbon can remove chlorine..

Dear zheilwane, what is the difference between EASYCOMPLETE and APDWS1000? Why would you recommend one over the another? Also what is the media components inside both of these, any carbon block? (you have showed the AP902 filter internal, TQ).

Membrane filters with 0.01 micron like NESH wont filter off chlorine.

APDWS1000 is dual stage carbon block filter with thicker and better quality carbon block compared to AP Easy complete. It would b better if you can drop by my showroom as we are having promo til 30 Aug and it would b easier to explain with the actual product infront of us.
