Both Espring and 3M APDWS1000 are tested and verified by NSF with standard 42 & 53 with norminal particulate class I. Both of these filters are good and proven to be safe to direct drink by NSF without affecting our health. If you think 0.4% makes a big difference, how bout comparing things like VOC, chlorine & Nominal Particulate Class I, ≥0.5 to < 1.0 μm reduction.

I would agree that espring has better disinfection system with the UV light. However, as what stevie said, our water contains chlorine and there is not much harmful bacteria left for the UV light to kill. If there are family members or friends who are too weak, you can just boil the water. If you are not comfortable with the small percentage of bacteria and has extra budget then ofcoz u can go for espring. Once again, 3M has been tested by NSF to be able to filter off harmful contaminants and it is safe to direct drink.

I wouldnt say 3M is the best water filter but just saying that their package could provide a wider range of filtration (providing clean water rated 5 micron for whole house and clean drinking water which is safe to direct drink). So, what is good for your family is for you guys to decide.

hi, just a dumb question. For condo, where to install the outdoor water filter (i am refering to your 3M outdoor+indoor package) and do i need special piping for it ? and same for the indoor water filter do i need special piping for it or i can just install the indoor water filter anytime after renovation is completed? How abt the maintenance, how long to change the outdoor and indoor filter and whether we need technicians to come and provide the service, many thanks and sorry if you've answered these questions previously, coz i hd no time to flip page by page notworthy.gif

HI need advise for Bacfree water filter.

Am considering bacfree (counter top) drinking water filter model BS-1 due to the affordable cost (RM895 incl installation) and cheaper maintenance (RM180 to change filter every year). But heard that their after sales service is not good, can anyone share their experience?

Called their HQ and it seems that the person i spoke to really do not hv customer service at heart, the way she answered my questions also in a not so patient way. Wondering the service of their branches (if any) will be better.

all advice are appreciated, many thanks!

If you are looking for something good yet affordable, 3M AP Easy Complete would be suitable. YOu do not have to worry about after sales service as we will follow up and assist you if you need to claim warranty and etc. 3M is a reputable company and we (Builders Hardware) is very reputable in lowyat forum for good price and service. With the 3M & Builders Hardware reputation, the certifications from NSF and healthy forumers who are still alive after using 3M (NIckLJF), what else can go wrong? smile.gif

Hi zean, thanks for the recommendation. may i know whether the filter is easily availble outside or can only be purchased from specific shops (like yours?) also on the changing of filter, since it's at the bottom of the sink, do you hv videos that show how to change the filter? thanks! notworthy.gif or alternatively, is it possible that you show me at your shop? icon_question.gif . btw, i've no question on your credibility smile.gif just thot that if can DIY easily then no need to trouble you in the future can just buy from you and change myself smile.gif coz changing the couter-top bacfree filter is quite easy dont even need any tools smile.gif tks.

Hi, thank you for the info smile.gif. If you could post a video showing the changing filter part, it would be great, thanks. Also, we all know that nothing lasts forever, so may i know on average how long do customers need to change the faucet (if the interior of the faucet becomes filled with algae ?? will this happen?) or eplace the whole set?. thanks thanks notworthy.gif notworthy.gif
