I owned a Toshiba Single-Door GR-S21 for more than ten years before upgrading to a larger model from Hitachi to match the needs of my current family. The old one is still with me, and I plan to use it as a backup when cleaning up the new one.

The GR-S21 model is now replaced by GR-S185SH which is exactly the same design.

https://www.toshiba-lifestyle.com/my/refrig...or-Refrigerator

However, Toshiba's home appliance business has been bought by Midea Group. So, I don't know how good it is now under Midea.

Similarly, Hitachi's home appliances division launched a joint venture with the Turkish firm Arcelik in 2021. Well, I can tell you that Hitachi's Malaysia branch's after-sales support following the JV has not recovered since the pandemic. It is very difficult to get a response from its support contact and email at the moment. Strangely, I've just got an email from
Arcelik Hitachi (hitachimail66 at gmail.com) promoting this thing...

For your info, Arcelik owns the Beko brand.

Seem like Arcelik Hitachi focus on promoting instead of after-sales bangwall.gif
Initially i want to purchase Hitachi R-VG750PM-1, but this after sales thing really turn me off.

I own a multidoor Hitachi fridge. Recently got a problem and got to get the service from them.

Email response is between a week. But ordering parts and information is lacking. They don't inform you when parts are ordered, the price, and the date. You got to call to find out.

How about this? Anyone using? 😄

You can consider mitsubishi bottom freezer as well. There's a model that should fit your space. 750 width is also enough to fit Panasonic's largest bottom freezer i think

Ya, change the compressor and some parts.

But still got panel hasn't changed yet. Due to part long order time. But that is ok to me as it is not critical.

The owner claimed the door can be closed tight even she went to purchase those fridge door locker. Before manage to use the locker, the door fall down.

The owner now don't wanna accept this brand even Hitachi offer to replace with new one.

Hi guys, just out of curiosity, the door entrance to my wet kitchen is a little small, i don't think I can fit the whole fridge in if I wanted a 750L size

Was wondering if I could take out the doors first and carry it in and reinstall it while I am in the wet kitchen..

Will the installers at Harvey norman be able to do it?

The fridge that I am looking at has like LEDs notifications and lights on the door, so is it advisable to remove the doors because definitely there'll be wiring and all

Thanks! biggrin.gif

Standard door shall be able to go thru. You may check the fridge dimension especially depth which shall be lesser than door wide (even smaller door wide of 30 inches=76cm).

It didn't fail from factory causes. The repair fella made a mess out of it by not double checking.

Measure thrice to be sure it can go in. because the door handle is very mafan as it adds a few more cm. Plus the door thickness also.

thinking to get Electrolux ESE6101A-B (ESE6101A-B)
my wife already fall in love with this fridge when doing survey at shops.
any thought of good or bad of Electrolux fridge?  unsure.gif
*
i pulled the trigger on 7.7 Lazada sales.. icon_rolleyes.gif

luckily i read properly and my wife also noticed the review picture is gloss black Electrolux ESE6101A-B (more of dark grey actually).
thats y cheaper.

after some thorough browsing in lazada, found the cheapest Electrolux ESE6101A-BMY (matte dark grey).
shop from Johor. chat with seller can sent to Selangor.

got another shop from Selangor (free shipping) but price higher after some calculation comparison.
so bought from the Johor shop after minus lazada bonuses..
5 days later arrived. courier also called to inform delivery.. and the delivery was at night.. as i see alot of stuff in their lorry.

not sure the stock from Johor or Selangor or nearby or what.. but as long its arrived safely i dont mind.. rclxm9.gif
