to answer your question. its for soon to be crossfire 4870.
taking a 24" and 4870. will add one more for crossfire. want to try. dont want the cpu to be bottleneck later.
just playing safe.

I got 2 reasons wor for quad.

1. Folding@Home of coz
2. Simulation software

That is why I more focus on CPU power than GPU power.

Hey guys, I'm new to this OC scene and it will be great if all of you can enlighten me so that I can push my phenom higher. Is this the optimum that my phenom can go? as I was trying to push the bus speed more than 240 but it just won't boot. I'm using DFI LP DK 790FX board.

Did u tweak HT Link & NB multiplier? Or was it default like that?
Kinda wayyy too low for a phenom.

1.328v is too much for 2.5ghz. I doubt u'll need that much.

No, did not tweak the NB and HT multiplier. I was hoping to push it at least 2.8 but was stuck at 2.5.
