d test was ran on untweaked os + cards on stock, only cpu + ram overclocked.

it was just 3d stable only bro, not prime stable thou... no way w/ this crappy board of mine...

d nos. is nothing when compared to ya q6600... intel quaddies @ 3.6GHz gonna score atleast a 5k cpu score...

Hehe... i reckon you can hit 3ghz on 1.3~1.325v. NB might be an issue though.....

Despite the powah of darkside... still boot into windows slower than my stock phenom last time.

3.6 VS 2.8..Not a good comparison.Try compare 3.3 with 3.3 i think the results not big grap

maybe like 4200 for Q6600, and 4134 for Phenom..sth like that la.

[tcMag] AMD cutting prices of three Phenom CPUs

Now that Intel tweaked its CPU offer AMD is ready to respond by cutting the prices of one tri- and two quad-core processors. First up, the 2.1 GHz Phenom X3 8450 is going down from $125 to $104 (prices for 1000-unit tray quantities) while the 2.2 GHz X4 9550 and the 2.6 GHz X4 9850 Black Edition are sliding from $205 and $175 to $194 and $154 respectively.

With this round of cuts AMD has brought the Phenom X4 9850 pretty much in line with Intel's popular Core 2 Quad Q6600 and the X4 9550 between two dual-cores - the E8500 and E8400. And the price was wages on.

btw, no harm tryin @ 2.8GHz, i would like to see how big is d diff between core 2 quad & lousy phenom clock to clock wise.

is the source reliable? they even stated d wrong clock speed for 9850 leh...

9850 should be 2.5GHz, only 9950 is on 2.6GHz if i'm not mistaken.
