for CIMB i think better opt for mastercard because most of the time they give mastercard more benefit like converting payment to EPP thru phone only available for mastercard , visa are not eligible..
DA and CIMB cards is free for life without condition attached but their enrich platinum does.. but can call up their center to waive it off la... heheh

@Reventon

Yes, agree with you, most of the Paypass merchant (especially KFC) prefer CIMB Mastercard. Quite happy until now for my CIMB Petronas 2% rebate, at least it not like Citibank Shell VISA, which must be over RM 20 then can get rebate from your bill.

@Sawamura
I think the most probably is the PC fair people don't want to use your card because they have to pay the bank some processing fee, but this is my assumption only, because i'm also using the CIMB Mastercard for half year already, but it never get any transaction rejected so far....

Which card is better nowadays? What diff with CIMB-DA and CIMB-Petronas?

If you were to choose between CIMB n Maybank, which one do you prefer?

How about Amex?Do we got waiver for annual fees?

Which one have most benefits to us?

DA is perfect for fresh graduates because:

1. 2% rebate on any brand of petrol (http://www.directaccess.com.my/pdf/petrol%20statement%20leaflet.pdf)
2. No need to worry about annual fee
3. No minimum swipe for the month or year
4. It's a GOLD card not Silver/Classic.

@Gary1981,
CL is determined by the bank. I got RM10k when I applied for it - that was back in Y2002 if I'm not mistaken.

Sawamura,

Your card is mastercard or visa? I encountered problem with mastercard before and it was rejected without any reasons. However when i swipe with my visa on the same machine, it was ok. Better apply for both master and visa to be safe icon_idea.gif

For the DA, its comes only with CIMB right? My annual income is about Rm22k because I'm fresh graduates. Do you think the bank will allow? About the Graduates Certificates as requirement, I dont have it right now, my convo will in mid August. What document to brings? From what I know DA Card does not count point on Petrol purchases, do other card such as CIMB-Petronas or MBB-Petronas are the same?

You can give a try.

About the Graduates Certificates as requirement, I dont have it right now, my convo will in mid August. What document to brings?

You could try to use the official invitation letter to convocation.

From what I know DA Card does not count point on Petrol purchases, do other card such as CIMB-Petronas or MBB-Petronas are the same?

CIMB Petronas also gives 2% rebate back. MBB Petronas offers 5x Treat points.
