previously i have done my auto-debit using my HSBC at Kedau Telekom. it's FOC.
about the RM200 limits, not sure, but each time bills come, it will be auto paid by CC.

btw, today i went to Midvalley MBB TreatFair. applied Petronas MBB card.
it mention 60 minutes approval.

4.35pm applied.
5.35pm back to counter collect, but were told 6.00pm come back to collect.
6.02pm i got sms saying my card is approved.
6.15pm reach at the counter, passed by IC.
6.35pm only got my temporary card.

The Temporary card i got now is only valid for the Maybank TreatFair Events only.
the only free gift is travelling bag but need to spend RM50 in the event. but i walked over the place, nothing is suite me. all is 100-1000+++

anyways, my actual card will be arrived within 1 week at the branch tht i identified.

This Sat morning went down to have porridge at Petaling Street before going over to MV. Still early, plenty of parking space. Drop by MBB TP Fair, it was much bigger than last year.

Changed my ATM card to "Cherry" Debit Card @RM12
This time has the most laptop bags, luggage bags than previous years. But too bad I have enough bags already
Thought of looking for a mini water-kettle jug I saw last year, but not available this year
Not enough points to exchange for an LCD/Plasma TV of any size

Nothing specific to buy/exchange. Maybe I am too kiamsiap. Actually nothing in my mind to exchange at the moment.

In the end, it's my friend who buy and I swipe my Amex Credit Card for 2x point. Then I sponsor some items with my TP.

Redeem some stuff from Gift counter and play the wheel-of-TP. Got back 850 TP (which will be credited within 2 month) and some hooks

Overall, I would say the fair is getting better, there are quite a lot of goods. Just too bad I don't have anything in mind to exchange, so I'll keep the points for next year. Parking RM7 max.

BTW, I'll be visiting CIMB Fair at KLCC next week also to survey

Some facts:
1) MBB Petronas 5x is extended to Dec'08 as mentioned earlier in this thrad. I just pumped Petronas today and will know by Mon/Tue whether it is still 5x. MBB will officially announce it soon.
2) Those on the spot approval + free "onion bag" are for NEW MBB CC applicants only.
3) For those using MBB Amex Charge Card and spent above RM1k, you'll get some nice leather stuff. For those using MBB Amex Credit Card like me, you'll get "onion bag"
4) New MBB Amex Credit Card applicants will have 2 years annual fee waiver.
5) Saw two purple "sponge-bob-square-pants" wondering around. I nearly wrestle it down on the ground, until a SYT pass me the BR flyer

The banks will NOT approve ur application before Thursday - U need to be full 21 years old before the bank can issue U a CC (as principal holder). There is NO possible way for U to be able to obtain a physical CC by ur birthday.

Max charges for parking @ MV during the weekends is RM9 not RM7. If U haf intentions of getting a MBB CC and happen to be at the TreatFair, no harm putting in ur application.

Y do U say ur addicted to CCs? It's usually not a good sign U know.

I don't think those whose salary is below RM2k will and can qualify for a Gold card.

The MBB Petronas CC gives 5x reward points for Petronas - the promotion's been apparently extended till Dec 08.

Are the stuffs realli cheap?! Also, is it a must to use MBB CC to make purchases? Can use cash or not?

I have worked for 4 month but now I have post my salary slip to my brother for applying loan to invest in property. Suddenly, I saw MBB Treatsfair at midvalley. So if I want to apply for credit card, can I just use my offer letter ?

If you mean purchase e.g. LCD/Plasma TV with cash outside at Ah Seng Electrical Shops, etc. I'm sure they can give better discount/promo/free gifts.

But if for points comparison with other banks, you can take this example.
Sony booth will accept 8,500 TP for RM50. I believe it is better than my other Citibank card which requires in the range of 12,500 points for other RM50 voucher.

Well, I did not see anyone pulling out any CC other than MBB You can imagine it is like going to Amway meeting and yell you are with Cosway Everywhere you turn, you can see the word "Maybank"

Some items can only be purchased with cash.
Some item have options to exchange 100% TP, or TP + $, or pure $
Some items only TP, cannot cash.

I don't know if the bank will need proof of income. I suppose if U happened to be @ MV and came across the Fair, U wouldn't be carrying ur salary slip with U right?!

Standard is 3 months salary slip. Even though you post your salary slip to your brother, you should keep each month copy with you. Photostat another set to submit to bank.

Frankly, with just an offer letter, I think most banks will reject it.

Lol - I figured that too cause if U pay cash, the price is d same as the list price [at least from the catalogue MBB sent!]. So there realli isn't much to purchase huh?!

I would advise not to purchase cash at MBB TP Fair, unless it is something you really want and can't find else where. That's the place to spend all the TP only.

I've already went to PC Fair on Fri Also did not find the thing I want, Sandisk 16GB micro-SDHC card which is not officially launched worldwide yet. Maybe have to wait Nov/Dec PC Fair But for those who use SD card, there is 32GB SDHC cards available at rm580-650

Nothing much there, as I don't have anything in my mind to purchase also, except the item I just mentioned.
