@vin_ann,
Hence I didn't respond to TeraPox post when he asked me about the iPhone - tis is not the right place to discuss the iPhone smile.gif

There's nothing much about the iPhone - it's just a gadget; TeraPox can tell U that [maybe he can even pass 1 to u since he's got 2! *grins*]

@TeraPox,
Just need to 'restore' the phone and it prolly gets unbricked

Issit when you got AMEX charge card, they will offer you a credit card FREE FOR LIFE?
My boss is being offered one FREE FOR LIFE.
I saw the offer letter he left on his table. I wonder what happened if he cancelled the charge card and keep the credit card.

From what I heard from the account clerk, not really. Lastime (many years ago) when VISA n MASTERCARD still not so popular yet, maybe use frequently as travels a lot to see suppliers. But now each month also pay around 4k nia and mostly for petrol (inclusive of supplimentary cards for the rest of directors). Nowadays VISA and MASTERCARD is the way to go.

Amex platinum charge cards are supposed to be by invitation only plus they never waive their annual fee no matter what. It's a "status symbol" and Amex must maintain their standards I guess biggrin.gif So if you see anyone with an Amex platinum charge card, you know they're paying on average RM200 per month just for annual fees alone! biggrin.gif

There are advantages, particularly if you travel but not worth it for me...

3) willing to pay for the 2.5k ringgit annual fee..

next level, centurion(Not in Malaysia Yet)

I'm definitely NOT willing.. I have v much more things I could do with US2.5k - for example, purchase that iPhone 3G everyone seems to want so much !! :P

@TeraPox,
I've not heard anything about Free For Life Amex cards. Then again, I've not reached that kinda status ! :(

Tink, I think most people at that financial level don't particularly care about the annual fee and have other people paying for their expenses anyway so they don't need to carry those cards in their pockets/wallets anyway. Unless they're really cheap like most of us here biggrin.gif

I've also read on other forums where people on the receiving end ie. working in a hotel/spa/whatever say that they see so many Amex Platinum/Centurion cards in a working day that it's not that special anymore.

I think Amex has diluted their brand by giving out too many Platinum/Centurion cards biggrin.gif
