he was in the final 3 times! just that nadal is awesome on clay.
let see if he can do it next year.
with or without the roland garros title, he is already one of the best ever!
*
well he's the second best on clay after nadal .... just that i hope he'll win the french open to complete his collection.
maybe his new coach will come up with a game plan to overcome nadal on clay, we'll see

go fedex go!
btw when will they start selling the tix for fedex vs nadal at malaysia?

by the way he played in this final...i think he would have won it either..he was playing so aggresive...came into the net more...and nadal's play in hard court isn't that good..he's one dimensional...

Roger played a very good game against Murray and it was obvious that Murray's focus was gone when he lost the 2nd set. If Murray took the 2nd set, it would've been a very different ball game. However, I think Roger gained a lot of confidence after his win against Novak and it showed in the final. His trademark forehands were all hitting the targets. I also like that Roger is moving to the net more often nowadays. Congrats Roger! Didn't waste my effort waking up at 4.30am! tongue.gif

the semifinal between federer and djoker is more interesting compare to
the final itself. we really saw the ol' federer going for every shot.
can't wait the new season to start.... federer slam, perhaps.

would be great if federer gets his 15th slam in the french open smile.gif more meaningful than getting it at wimbledon or US open IMO

Hahaha, just one Grand Slam win and everybody is talking about when he can get the 15th Grand Slam.

I am very happy roger won the US Open, but in reality I knew that it would be very difficult for him to win another Grand Slam because Nadal, Djokovic and Murray is always there. Maybe his next GS need to wait until next year's US Open, who knows?

The match between him and nadal was very very close... He still has a go for Wimbledon tbh.

what Federer needs now is a French Open Grand Slam...after that he can retire, although might tied with Pete Sampras, but Federer can boast that he won all the 4 Grand Slam, thus a complete tennis player

he already said that he won't want to do the same like borg retiring early... he wants to play as long as his body allows him to be competitive and pit against the newer and better generations in many years to come... something like agassi...
