looking at the picture, i guess most malaysians cant complaint about having need to play in poor lighting condition since most courts are brighter than that

QUOTE(cyberdream @ Aug 19 2008, 09:02 AM) i think all other players now have seen federer's weaknesses... and push him to make mistakes.. plus nowadays the quality of return serve of every player improved, so it's hard for his previous year playing style... serve and volley. juan's case unfortunately is like adam jaya. lots of money to splurge so play more tournaments than others to gain ranking point. malaysia's best hope now is ahmad deedat. now he's a guy to look forward with. probably with him around we'll have another adam malik case. until juan start to even beat kanagaraj/razlan/ashaari, we'll not have a real pro to look up to if we want malaysia tennis to be active we need at least 1 or 2 pros... i think we will get it soon since we have 2 junior who already have good ranking in boys & girls ITF ranking.... Juan Los Santos & Jawariah. Even i heard the girl last time qualified to play grand slam (Junior Circuit), im not sure wherether it was aus open or us open, beacause of financial/support she din play... Then the boy(juan) highest rank was 220, and his family very supportive and expose him with international competitive enviroment. So i think soon they will become pro. I din say that other junior players are not good, but in malaysia we need good player who can afford to play more outside tournament with their own budget oh but jawa is indeed a talent.. but she needs to go overseas more !!! she manage to qualify for aus open girls singles..but typical malaysian mentality too many officials wanted to follow her till not enough budget QUOTE(retrosnare @ Aug 19 2008, 11:55 AM) yeah fed reign is over..... uh kulit-factor i hope the rivalry now will change to between rafa and nole!!! hahaha.. bout our tennis, why did this junior need to pull out money from their pocket? where is the function of ministry of sport? where is the function of lawn tennis assoc of malaysia? QUOTE(Bepeon @ Aug 19 2008, 12:08 PM) he's the one pumping money la not sucking it.. it's those idiot officials taking it. This post has been edited by ~Battousai~: Aug 19 2008, 02:45 PM |

QUOTE(retrosnare @ Aug 19 2008, 05:37 PM) cmon we need to bring this matter to the ministry. tennis cannot be neglected. as we see football also is not so power. maybe its time for us to revise the side where we have more potential to go international.... MAYBE THE ANSWER IS TENNIS!!! in reality, our tennis ranking how low also is still higher than football team all we need is fund from the government or some personal injection of fund from companies or rich individual. more tournament must be held more frequent.. ltam must be active and play their role. we as fan and player will always be supporting rite???? bout the wta player now i think no 1 player must have an attitude like a man and play like a man. just see justine henin... she walks like a man... hehehe.... my eyes on woman tennis is now directed to safina.. she have the power but she need to learn to control her emotion and not let the emotion to control her rhythm of playing... FEDERER THIS IS THE END!!!!! IT IS NOW THE RIVALRY BETWEEN RAFA AND NOLE!!!!! youngster on the way to flip da side of tennis..... THANX FEDERER FOR THE GAME WE ALL HAVE SEEN FOR THE PAST YEARS!!!!! but such strong enforcement, do u think our national body will do it ? |

tactically this was THE match to watch.. great win by murray... played a tactically superb match though there were some points could've been more aggresive.. but nevertheless a great win.. i guess nadal knows where he needs to work on in the off season after this loss haha..
well my say would be final would be fed's to lose.. it's been a long time since i said this but fed's the favourite for the final |

QUOTE(heeren @ Sep 9 2008, 05:40 PM) u will be surprised still many of them will still not think that he is the best even he surpasses sampras's record of 14 grand slam wins... some say tat federer is just too cool with not much emotions compared to the rest of the players... or some other kind of reasons... well it's really up to how each of them sees him as a player in the court and outside court and his accomplishments... for sure he is already one of the best... whether he is the best - it's quite debateable... but no doubt for me he is the best in the game... well i for one will still consider pete as the better player.. not because of emotions of whatever.. but rather, sampras had to play against edberg, wilander, mcenroe, courier, agassi, lendl, kefelnikov, michael chang, kuerten, rios, becker to a certain extent, or lesser players like goran, rafter, moya at top form, or well safin, hewitt and roddick who were then really playing unbelievable tennis..mr pooh must be bloody disappointed this is the reason why i still believe he's the best player amongst them both because he won so many grand slams and matches playing against so many history regards as the top players to grace the tennis court.. i wont say fed collected grand slams while others were either retiring or too raw to challenge, but well sampras had the tougher opponents to deal with but anyhow no one doubts their amongst the best that ever played tennis.. the best ? well up to interpretation and when u started watching This post has been edited by ~Battousai~: Sep 9 2008, 06:56 PM |

Maybe I got lucky that Andy withdrew,” Federer said. “And then Radek is not playing with his own rackets, so that made it a little bit more lucky again. I hope with a day of recovery, I’ll make a miracle happen here and get through into the semis.” The 26th-ranked Stepanek, from the Czech Republic, said he came directly to Shanghai from a vacation in Thailand to be an alternate. He had his tennis gear sent from home, but it hadn’t cleared Chinese customs yet. He had to borrow tennis rackets from Novak Djokovic and socks from Murray, and needed to quickly buy contact lenses when he heard he was going to play.
