but the problem is there's a certain clay court specialist on the way. well maybe his coach higueras can help him overcome nadal on clay |

French Open may be important for him, but Pete Sampras, who everyone considers as the best player, does not have the French Open as well.. and Federer got into the final of French Open for 3 times, and Sampras wasn't in the final for once. So i think if Federer gets his 14th slam, he will be seen as a better player than Sampras..

about 800 over if not mistaken... and willl need nadal to drop his points for the remaining tournaments to be held later this year as those were the points that he gained last year... and secondly will need federer to at least retain all his points that he gained from last year's matches after US open... quite unlikely that nadal will lose the no.1 spot till next year australian open comes again...
