nadal: finish federer for me
murray: no prob man, i owe you one. gimme some tips
nadal: sure man, no problem, dont let him get my top spot. biggrin.gif

congrats to serena, she gets number one again. women's WTA ranking changes very fast, no? this year already 5 of them. men's take 5 years to change one.

Sad to know that Jelena didnt get her first grand slam but I guess being in a grand slam final for the 1st time might have been a disadvantage to her. However, she did have a very good tournament especially after struggling through in the early rounds. Hopefully she gets her chance again next year.

So what time is the Roger Murray match? smile.gif

shud be tomorrow morning at 5am...hopefully federer can get his 1st slam of the year and regain the confidence he needs..GO FEDERER!

In the men's game..the ranking changes almost after 5yrs is because federer was a class above the rest..the rest were playing catch up including nadal until this year...

Andy Murray gives the crowd a forlorn wave as he comes to collect his runners-up trophy. "I had a great tournament but I came up against, in my opinion, the best player ever to play game today. I got the better of him the last two times and he definitely set the record straight today. I've learnt I've got a lot of improving to do if I want to win one of these things. I love playing in front of this crowd - it's been the best time of my life."

QUOTE
Here comes "history-making Roger Federer", as he is introduced by our super-enthusiastic announcer. "It definitely feels great," says Rog. "After this year, to take this home is incredible. It means the world to me. I'm not going to stop at 13 - that would be terrible! I congratulate Andy - he's done great these last two weeks. I'm sure we're going to see a lot more of him in the future."

YEY! Federer 6-2 7-5 6-2 Murray! such a nice moment for him to win a grand slam without no.1 status...it feels relaxed and satisfied for Fed!

Nope, he was the champ last year. So by winning again this year he defended his points. If he didn't win then he will be losing points instead.

Anyways, nice game. Murray first time in a GS finals... maybe nervous or something... experience counts tongue.gif
