congrats to serena, she gets number one again. women's WTA ranking changes very fast, no? this year already 5 of them. men's take 5 years to change one.

Sad to know that Jelena didnt get her first grand slam but I guess being in a grand slam final for the 1st time might have been a disadvantage to her. However, she did have a very good tournament especially after struggling through in the early rounds. Hopefully she gets her chance again next year.

In the men's game..the ranking changes almost after 5yrs is because federer was a class above the rest..the rest were playing catch up including nadal until this year...
