Is it tame? Does he rools up when u approach him? If he shows no sign of aggresiveness, then maybe u can put him up for adoption, rather than releasing him to the bush.

Please find another hedgehog owner near ur place to have him checked. This hedgehog is too cute to be put in a bush.

Water it will go drink itself as long you have provided. It takes insects such as mealworms or crickets (can get from aquarium shop). Else you can try feed it cat kibbles.

it's pretty similar to forest hedgehogs or west european according to wikipedia, from the photos that you've posted.

do you know of any hedgehog owners where you stay (johor if i've mistaken from your sig)? or maybe someone who'll be interested to take care of them for the time being?

i don't think these hedgehogs belong in the wild, so they're unlikely to survive if released back to nature. we do not have hedgehogs in our forests, and they're most likely pets released by owners.

since you're not in malaysia, i can't make more assumptions, but if you're in countries like nz, australia and others, it's pretty common to find wild forest hedgehogs in the garden or backyard, which in this case, the hedgehogs you rescued could be from the wild.

malaysia doesn't have wild hedgehogs but there are many countries that do, so perhaps it's only lost or got stuck.

Its common 4 them to come out when u switch out the light since hedgei r nocturnal...Maybe they feel safer i tink..

Haha, i won't recommend you to do that at the early stage..If u want to do so, be careful..There r cases that hedgie do bite, and i assure that  u will remember the pain...Get some time with your hedgie first, hand feed it..This helps the bonding process..Let ur hedgie know that ur hand is not dangerous..Mine usually will sniff sniff when i put ma hand in front of her, maybe trying to find some treat  hehe 

Yes, u should go and get him a wheel...Quite boring whooo juz sit in the box..but get ready. Although my hedgie is toilet train, yet when i put in the wheel, she always choose to poo n pee in there...
Maybe u can train urs not to do so..
