Erm, just use a box? A plastic bag to keep the food, bowl and etc.

Box I like those something like laptop box. Works well. Down there put newspaper and loose tissues.

i noe but after i reach my home, i din got such big box to keep it....besides...chinese new year i hv to keep moving to 3 diffrent places ohh.....so worry....

perhaps you can pass it to your friends to take care for a few days, just daily feeding and needs very minimal monitoring.

too much travelling may not be too good for the hedgehogs, although not all are bad travellers. from the hedgehogs i have, three doesn't have much problems travelling in the car, but one will puke if it stays in the car for more than one hour.

but all of my frens muz go bac hmtown...
for frens who stil in kl, they are nt tat kinda ppl wil help to clean up the hedgehod poo n pee...T_T but stil try to find a good fren who willing to do this ^^||

i am willing to keep the hedgehog for u permanently ^___^

unique ways to make a home for hedgehogs.

would've been nice if i have more space to keep my hedgehogs, sigh...

lzxian88, becareful if u doing that cage, I just have a experience on something like that, last time when I having a hedgehog and don't know want to use what cage, I just try use a hamster cage, the bad thing is, my hedgehog know to climb up... and direct fall like that. So I don't use any cage that can let my hedgehog climb.

besides that, i do think that the displayed cage is a bit too 'flimsy' for hedgehogs. some hedgehogs enjoy pushing things around, and from the looks of it the cage seems to be a bit too fragile.

but anyway, the photos provided are good ideas on how to improvise and make your own enclosement, if i've the space and budget i'd like to DIY one too, haha...

i don have big place like that (see how small is the hedgehog in the picture), but i'll try to make it as big as possible, will upload mine once i finish putting it. i was wondering what to put on the floor. from the pictures, it seems like the hedgehog gonna poo poo n pee pee right on the floor @@

Actually, I think the wheel may be too slanted and too slippery. The stand and method may be correct, but the basin used doesn't seem right.

yeah, the wheel is slanted, so to compensate that, i also tried slanting it so the lower part is actually straight, will try out if it works =) i have difficult time looking for a suitable wheel but this is the best i have got so far.
i can't try now cause i don have a hedgehog, perhaps i try with hamsters first.=)

lzxian88, just my opinion, if the wheel can put inside the cage box then will be nice, because for me is hard to take my hedgehog put in the wheel and call him play, it just don't border you and just hiding somewhere else, I just leave the wheel in my cage box then let it play when it want to.

the two boxes are actually linked together, so my guess is that the hedgehog will walk around n find himself a brand new wheel. =)
mind showing me a picture of ur house so i can get a brief idea on what's in the boxes. Pictures i get from Google is not sufficient T_T

Wahhh so creative r u Izxian...1st time i ever see...1 thing u need to be concern is, hope that ur little hedgie is toilet train..Coz bummer if he/she pee n poo on ur dolls..? I think ur hedgie will bite bite all ur doll lar...anyway juz a 2 cent from me..

OHHH I see the box is link Didn't notice there got a hole link there just now.
My hedgehog cage box just only have 1 water bowl ( actually is candle bowl from Ikea), meal bowl, 1 wheel and 1 huge pipe roll for my hedgehog sleep.

I can't do so much thing inside because... no more space let him run

the poo poo train i need to ask reanne about that, i don have any hedgehog at the moment..



if pee n poo on the dolls, don worry, can make new dolls or get the dolls washed.. they are all socks anyway XD
so no problem if i put clean dolls in it right? =) not poisonous..
but i do wanna know more about poo and pee thing..
this is something i am not really sure even after some reading. if is toilet trained, then i think shouldn't be any prob.
if the hedgehog simply poo pee everywhere, should i change the clothes n things everyday? a few days in a week? or a week @@
how is the poo look like? if i put sand, will the hedgehog covers the poo poo like cats? (opps. i have too many doubts)

if i have the place, of cus i will keep extending.. i wanted to spray paints on the outer later, but i think it's better if i draw, will update later, if i got the time n mom not catching me to clean the house =)

Owwwhhh,ic..u adopted Mable from reanne...Wahh so lucky r u to past the screen test...Take good care of little Mable ya..She's so adorable...

In ma case, ma hedgie is toilet train...Means she know lar to go to the place where she usually do her business..But she also usually tend to pee and poo on the running wheel that i provide to her..So, i usually take it out in the morning and put it back at night..I think Mable is toilet train since Reanne take care of her b4...So lets say if she poo or pee everywhere, scoop it and put it at one place where u want ur hedgie to do her business and become the toilet place..Then the place where she pee@poo, put some new bedding..I usually change the whole bedding in 2 weeks time..

LOL How the poo looks like u better experience ur self..Donno how to describe..but, its not like a 'water type' poo hahaha...easy to handle...Shit...LOL and no, the little durian will not cover the poo. juz let it lying there...silently...

not yet =) perhaps i will be adopting mable on saturday if i pass the 'meeting' test.
