im very worried about giving fresh food coz it attract ants la. My ww only nibbles a bit then just leaves it hidden under the bedding.

It will be ok. I finish college dy and I still managed to take care of my pets well. Just that during exam time may not have energy or time to spend with it an hour a day lo.

only cat litter has clumping & non clumping. With proper hamster sand there's only the non clumping. I think.

Your WW isn't into vege? You do feed it smoothie right? My hamsters all know how to eat vege already after 1 week of feeding smoothie. Short cut.

You can try feeding in another cage lor. Or watch your WW if it eats lor. Otherwise you have to dig around the shavings for leftover food.

basically it gets bored easily. LOL! Can't give it big amounts, must give small small amounts. Usually I just watch it then when it drops the vege/fruit, i pick it up and throw it away.

I shredded some tissue and stuffed it into the cup loosely. Now it doesnt squeeze itself between the tank and the 'bathroom' but sleeps in the cup. Probably felt too exposed earlier

One would be heat stroke and one would be normal stroke. Heat stroke normally the hamster would be wet around the mouth and neck.... normal stroke no wetness but it usually is seen in older hamsters.

Cooked chicken and eggs. The crickets and mealworms don't cause such deaths wan....

For one month I thought Ferro was female. Cuz his testices are not growing out and everyone say is girl cuz no "ball ball".

But it's a common mistake mar. Ferro is unisex name. Jilly is a girl's name o. How? Call him Jack?

Hahaha.... some people have a hard time sexing hamsters coz some just develop later. Like Ferro rite? Heheheh.... I had 1 gerbil that only sprouted his balls after he passed 5 months old.... the whole time I thought he was a female.

But I did say ferro was 90% likely to be a male heheheh.....

Now i'm having difficulties sexing a lyn member

The shop told me if there is 2 parts of the hamster's back which have longer fur then it is a male ?

The easiest way to sex a syrian... Is that males have testicles and femlaes, you can see the nipples when she stands. That's how I do it since my syrians don't like me to flip them over.
