Alamak... my CHT12R is special price la.
But market is selling around RM2450-2600... depending on your nego skill.

If u wanna try your luck, go to A&L Sg Wang, look for Ah Hon.
But again lo. Many says AmCorp Mall cheaper.

Yup..

Mine is de 12plus box.. plain black version - no money for de nice wood ones..
SvS N Hsu are direct competitors, they ll never give to de same dealerla.. they even share almost de same design principles..

But once dealership is set then prices are expected to rise as experienced with aussie n euro markets.. sad but true..
*
yes aussie price for svs is crazily expensive..

At this current economic situation, it is not easy to be a distributor esp for SVS sub as there is a commitment to sell at a certain quanitty. Moreover, only a handful with enough fund and interest would spend their money on this sub.

I had once nearly got the distributorship for a major US speaker a few years ago. The top guys were coming over to negotiate with a few potential distributors. But, I gave it up as I feel I am not ready for it.

It is always a good business if you have great interest in the stuffs that you sell. laugh.gif Commitment that the company gives is not easy to achieve especially with the current economy situation. sweat.gif

hah i was given the privilege to butcher a SPL1200R last night.. i calibrated it to 80db and played cloverfield bd at 0db.. i must say its different from my SVS.. first SVS sounded had more OOH and WAAH.. but the SPL.. well to my experience last night la, the SPL had more punch..

i turned on my Lil Jon, T-Pain flacs and to my ears, the SPL sounded better than the SVS for musical bass.. they were somewhat the same on my borcelli and other classical flacs..

in conc.. with my limited knowledge, i can say that the SVS is better for movies as it has the ability to fill the room up with OOH and WAHH.. so u feel more of the movie with it.. (it can scare u). however the SPL is better for music as it really packs a punch of BASS..

/extra, i bottomed the SPL with a scene from the Golden Compass.. had to calibrate it down to 75db.. haha

But then again, the SPL is over RM2k more expensive compared to your SVS when compared using Malaysian prices. Cepat2 get the Ultra so that you can do another round of comparison drool.gif

Can get walnut color in Malaysia? They told me only got dark apple and cherry. I'm actually looking for walnut, dark apple is the closest because my fronts are walnut (not KEF). What color is yours?

Servo 15? Fuyoo... But, those who loves solid punchy bass might not like Servo 15 as it leans toward musicality. It is indeed powerful.

I knew a place to audition this Mama sub. Mega, interested or not? Can audition SPL-1200R and Servo 15 brows.gif (taruk poison extra kaw) tongue.gif

My house will collapsed with the Servo 15. sweat.gif

I noticed ever since I use the Onkyo 875, my Velodyne is more punchy even in movie mode. hmm.gif

I remember with my previous Yamaha V1800, if I choose movie mode, it is less punchy, but more low grunts and delays. But it was too much so I choose other mode instead.

So an AVR does affect the LFE channel. I'm using the same QED Qunex SR-SW.
