QUOTE(megatron007 @ Oct 13 2008, 12:05 PM) Thanks, Well the new sub was way better than what I went through. Just finish reading the term and condition card by Extreme Audio Marketing. Just a 1 year warranty for malaysia market. i think that's the reason some people buy online because of 3 years warranty. |

QUOTE(mys_terious @ Oct 13 2008, 04:43 PM) callmevil's bolster will surely smoke velo cht coz its not in the same price range.. comparing your usd499 model with cht is more appropriate although its stil not very fair coz usd499+usd230( transport) x3.4=rm2580.. and u have to pay tax or oldtown coffee voucher total up rm3k+ but u get deeper bass... if velodyne has rm3k+ subwoofers then maybe u should compare with that model.. I dont hv de velo's but SvS makes great subs for HT.. no doubt abt it.. based on personal user rvws in AVS, ya I tink u can safely say a 12in plus sub will smoke de velo..actually i also regret i bought the square svs coz its very heavy n hard to move it around unless u wanna ask your wife to help u .. that might stir up the 'y did u spend so much on hifi' issue:) |

QUOTE(hackwire @ Oct 14 2008, 09:27 AM) Go to www.svsound.com or visit Callmevil in Brunei. I almost ordered it few months ago, but due to budget cutdown had to settle for the Velodyne instead. My dream list for subwoofer now would be the Definitive Technology Supercube Reference Subwoofer. This is one earth shaking sub and really ideal for movies!:)
![]() Specifications: Dimensions: 16-3/4" W x 16-3/4" D x 16-15/16" H Frequency Response: 11 Hz – 200 Hz Driver Complement: One 14" long-throw subwoofer coupled to two 14" infrasonic radiators Built-in Amplifier: 1800 watts Digitally-Coupled Class D Amplifier Low Pass Crossover: 24 dB/octave continuously adjustable variable (40 – 150 Hz) plus Unfiltered LFE direct coupled input High Pass Crossover: 12dB/octave continuously variable (40 – 150 hz) Speaker level: 6 dB octave (80 Hz) Finish: Piano gloss black Weight: 111 lbs. Suggested Retail: $1899 ea. Yet to test out the SuperCube Trinity Signature Series though, the specs are just mouth drooling. ![]() Specifications: Dimensions: 18" W x 18" D x 31-3/4" H Frequency Response: 10 Hz – 200 Hz Driver Complement: Two 14" long-throw SuperCube Technology subwoofers coupled to four 14" infrasonic radiators Built-in Amplifier: 2000 watts Digitally-Coupled Class D Amplifier Low Pass Crossover: 24 dB/octave continuously adjustable variable (40 – 150 Hz) plus Unfiltered LFE direct coupled input High Pass Crossover: 12dB/octave continuously variable (40 – 150hz) Speaker level: 6 dB octave (80 Hz) Finish: Piano gloss black Weight: 197 lbs. I would highly recommend those who have budget to burn to have the subs a try before looking at branded alternatives. This post has been edited by D_Y2k.4^: Oct 14 2008, 12:50 PM |

QUOTE(HornyAngMoh @ Oct 14 2008, 01:05 PM) If its US$ price, its not exactly cheap and you still wanna consider just for side effects?.The higher end you go on these kind of things and if you don't do something great about room acoustics, excellent spec equipment will not perform optimum or to potential. A great and expensive system in a lousy and resonant room or hall will sound shyte. |
