It's an option, you don't have to select "LFE+Main" if you don't want to. It's just that if you have full range speakers, you can. This comes back to each own's listening taste, some people like more bass.

My main point here, if you don't have full range speakers, don't select "LFE+Main", just select "LFE" only and set the proper crossover. This will avoid your speakers from trying to produce the low frequencies that it can't do, thus avoiding damage.

erm...how to consider it is full range or not?? 2x 6.5in driver + 1.25in dome tweeter??
as far as i know the AV fellar said that if u do get a fullrange front pairing spk, u shud take advantage of those precision of the vocal, midrange, tweeter...hear the precision of it instead of hearing just like normal compact satellite spk which throw everything out together....

so he dinn recommend to LFE + MAIN, of cos he say u can select that for ur likings if u prefer a more bommier sound..^^

just my 2 cents, correct me if i m wrong..

frequency response. if they go down low to the sub-30hz range, u can consider it full range.

I thought Full range is 20Hz - 20KHz. No? Btw, I set mine to 'LFE+Main', which is better than 'LFE' only.

The HDMI cable from the PS3 can be used to transmit both audio and video signals.

Added on October 18, 2008, 12:31 pmOh, since my projector screen is 9 feet wide, will it be not good if my speakers are too far apart?

Can lah. I am using PS3. HDMI do all the job from PS3 to my Yammy 1800.

Actually, I prefer wide distance between the 2 front spkrs. Mine is abt 8 ft apart due to room width limitation. I really wish I could have a 18' wide room x 28' lin length. Then, I will set the front at abt 12' apart to create a wider soundstage.

You need to experiment it yourself on the best spot. If 2 subs, same model would be ideal.

Bro, my CHT-12R does not rattle aything in my room. So, I guess it sld be the plaster ceiling with some loose fixing or the thinness of it.

120" screen? Customise screen? 92" is already big to me. 120" is gigantic rclxms.gif

HEY for thoose poor ppl who use HTIB with a poor passive sub. One way to improve bass reflection other than putting near corner is by placing some real heavy object on top of the passive sub. This way will certianly help to produce more solid BASS.

I myself have experience it. Better still I add the high-quality spikes to the bottom to produce stable BASS reflection.

A little thinking might improve certain things, save cost and save the earth by reducing number of trees chopping down to produce subs......Ops, I might be killed by so many active sub owners here......in fact, I have dreamed of CHT before.......

Not tat I m knockin passive subs but as u know passive subs require amplification from de amps n it alrdy has to pwer 3 front ends plus de occasional surr signal.. so dont expect much from a passive sub..

I cant help de environmentalists tat wan spkrs thou'.. except maybe buy used so de onus is less carbon footprint liao - recycle mah..
