QUOTE(mikapoh @ Oct 10 2008, 01:51 PM) Hi Sub fan, Never heard of Pro-Energy before. AudioPro, yes. Energy, Yes. Better top a bit more to get Wharfy SW150 at abt RM1.2KOne question, do u think it is worth to invest an active sub of RM800 to my exisiting LG HTIB system ?? I am quite pleased with the clarity produced by its satellite speakers but only want to add punch to the bass only. I have shopped and found this brand Pro-Energy active sub of RM799. What do u think ? |

is the bass from the sub suppose to sync with the soundtrack of the movie ? is this beyond our control or we need to let the new sub run in for a while? Or something to do with Phase setting?

Or something to do with Phase setting? If it is in front, then set at '0'. At the back, is '180 deg', side is '90 deg'. Try to get the best phase setting as yours are at the side. New sub needs to be run-in. Else, you will end up damaging it. Abt 100hrs. |

Mod the electronics, it'll sure sound like a more expensive subwoofer.
Here, a lot of parts have been replaced and improved some parts of the circuit. From my analysis, its quite a fine circuit at its price point, considering its got a heavy mutha toroidal transformer with 3 seperate voltage windings...not many budget subs have this. Its not a question of increasing the power output (which have little purpose) but to enhance the bass definition, timing and rhythm. The subwoofer have to keep up with the music and not detect any lag which will spoil the whole music rhythm. This is one issue why a 3rd party subwoofer is difficult to integrate with some front speaker brand...ok never mind....just to say I'm having fun and pleasure modding it. QUOTE(HornyAngMoh @ Oct 11 2008, 09:02 PM) Sorry, won't be able to do it for others. The picture shown is a Rogers ASB-100Mk2 amplifier, just recently acquired and I voided the warranty. Its now even more superb and rich bass lines compared to stage 1 mod.I don't think there's anything wrong or weak with your subwoofer. Perhaps HTkaki can help you adjust and position your sub for better performance and integration? Over to you htkaki. |

ya lor that way u only have one crossover setting to play with. If not everytime u change ur crossover at the amp, u need to go and match at the sub.
