Does anyone know the price of the G2400W right now and where I can find one? I'm trying to decide between that and the V2400W for my next 24". The V2400W is available now for RM1499.
*
I bought mine for Sgd699 around Rm1600 after convert... if the V2400W at Rm1499 by all means go for it : D

this monitor rocks if you're using with ps3 coz so few monitor out there would do 1:1 scaling for a monitor at this price...

my advise is go read some of the feedbacks from the people who own the V2400W before you buy. do compare with other monitor with your eyes see what fit you best.

if you gonna pair with ps3 .. the scaling issues at 1080p is what you really need to check otherwise your game will look like shit ww..

22" cannot do full hd while 24" can.. that's very big different if you watch some blu-ray : D

to truly enjoy blu-ray you need screen that can do 1920x1080 : D

The reviews from the hardforum for the V2400W are fantastic enough for me to purchase without worrying. But all over the world the G2400W is suppose to be cheaper now! Weird that it's still higher than V2400W.

I like Dell monitors although the price for the 24" is just insane. And that's with the RM900 rebate. So they're saying without the rebate it'll cost RM2609 + RM900.

Just insane. They better have the A01 revision before even asking for such a high price. Should have bought 1-3 of the 2407 when it was goin for RM1100 each.

Does anyone also know which place sells the LG 24" LG246WP Flat tron monitor? I can't find it anywhere.

If you have the budget for the Dell Ultrasharp 24" 2408WFP by all mean go for it. It used S-PVA panel that's why it is abit more expensive.

As for Benq G2400W it used some high end TN panel.. when I see it together with PS3 in action. I never regretted it, just have to do some setting with the colour. The 1:1 mapping just made it almost perfect. : D

I'd like to look at the acer 24" monitor as well.

Anyone know which place sells monitors at decent prices? PC Zone has alot of variety but their mark up price is ridiculous.

i've always hate 16:10 display. even though it's wide, it's NOT suitable for movies.
finally, 16:9 pc lcd has emerged. rclxm9.gif . (although we still get the black bars in 2.35:1 films, at least the bars are smaller now)
i'm sure by next year, more pc lcd will be in 16:9.

Their price list stated Acer AL2423W td is RM999. I wonder why so cheap for a non-TN panel. Maybe it's display panel.
PC-Zone stated RM 1550.

I'm looking for the cheapest S-MVA or PVA or MVA or S-PVA with better viewing angle, and preferably with height adjustment. My research has confused me more...This is whta I got from this site:

http://lcd24-7.info/Monitor/Acer/Default.aspx

2423W S-PVA panel NOT height adjustable
2423WA PVA panel NOT height adjustable
2423WDR MVA panel Height adjustable
2423WR unknown panel (but viewing angle is 178x178) Height adjustable

Does anyone has experience or comment with the above models or any non-TN model other than Dell 2407/8?

Hey guys, I couldn't find the widescreen 4.0 thread (link at the end of 3.0 seems broken) so I thought I'd post my question(s) right here.

Am currently looking to get a Samsung 2232GW, but heard it's getting phased out / unavailable anymore. Anyone is aware of a shop or location (or owns a shop for the matter) that is still selling it? It may not appeal to many people but I'm sorta hooked on to it ;D

Also, I was wondering if there were any suitable alternatives to the 2232GW in the event that it's really unavailable anymore. Am looking for something around 22'', glossy, and good performance specs.

Hope you guys can help. Thanks and cheers!

Was that the problem with your previous monitor? What brand and model was that? unsure.gif

Though glossy screens kinda look nice... I wouldn't recommend it.. especially issues with reflection and glare (in particular from overhead lights). Well, its still your choice/preference of course... tongue.gif
