Same here..

I also felt too big at first, jumping from 17" to 22"... however later I find the big desktop real estate very useful... Kinda get used to it now, can put many windows next to each other.. great for movies and games too (at first felt a bit odd since last time had to focus on small screen area during 17", nowadays on 22" I just sit back and watch)
That monitor uses PVA panel, not the ordinary TN panel... Maybe you can post a short review here..

is damm too big from 17 to 24 but i need to upgrade my vga card 1st to enjoy gaming
the 24" ACER AL2423W TD is using p-mva panel at the price rm999 with 3 year warranty is dirt cheap i can say.
the review site here
http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1096025the master list to compare against other 24" lcd
http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/..._List_(Retired)my 2 cent:
24" ACER AL2423W TD is using s-pva with brightness 500 and 6ms respone time
i notice that my 24" ACER AL2423W TD manufacture date is august 2006 maybe this is the reason it so cheap
and the drawback is no hdcp
the web review is 24" ACER AL2423W and i bought mine is 24" ACER AL2423W TD dunno wat the td stand for btw and mine is no pivot
