Hey guys, I couldn't find the widescreen 4.0 thread (link at the end of 3.0 seems broken) so I thought I'd post my question(s) right here.
Am currently looking to get a Samsung 2232GW, but heard it's getting phased out / unavailable anymore. Anyone is aware of a shop or location (or owns a shop for the matter) that is still selling it? It may not appeal to many people but I'm sorta hooked on to it ;D
Also, I was wondering if there were any suitable alternatives to the 2232GW in the event that it's really unavailable anymore. Am looking for something around 22'', glossy, and good performance specs.
Hope you guys can help. Thanks and cheers!

heya all, after taking a looking at my 2232GW, my dad's thinking of getting a 22 inch monitor for himself too as his eyes cant really take the small icons on his 15 inch monitor anymore. thing is his computer is a really old Dell (like 6 years+). I hadnt been able to bring my monitor over to see if it works with his PC, but i've got a gut feeling that his old integrated graphics might not take the native resolution of a 22 inch (correct me if i'm wrong please). if yes, then what's the bare minimum graphics card that would support a 1680x1050 resolution? I might end up having to build a new CPU for him, which only would be to use simple Microsoft Office tools and for surfing the internet. thanks and hope for your feedback

thanks all for the feedback. i'd need to bring my monitor over to his office to test the compatibility. no gaming involved, so hopefully all should be fine
