Can anyone with AMT transmission test this for me?

Try to turn the key to ON while pressing the brake pedal & start the car to see if it jerks?

Then try not to press the brake pedal while turn the key to ON & start the car.

Just realize my car have such behavior where AMT 2nd gear jerk occur when I turn the key ON while accidentally pressed the brake pedal. Maintained a while NOT to press brake pedal when turn on the key for 2 weeks already since my last post & no jerk already...However my AMT warning flashed twice for this period when I stopped at traffic light... According to SC the error is due to some wirings short circuit or disconnected. however since it doesn't interfere with the car's operation + it lit for approx 5 seconds only, so far no action done except resetting the error code....

My Savvy AMT does not exhibit any jerking at all during starting whether the brake pedal is depressed or not. I thought this is normal?

Everytime after ignition, the display shows 'N', ready to put into drive.

Hopefully it is not a sign of impending problem with your AMT.

will try later on. i tot if not mistaken if press brake when key at ON will consume some power from battery, no? cos clutch will engage too? nvr theless shouldnt hv any probs aite?

auto lit when stop at traffic light. u didnt put N? each time u stop at traffic light do put gear to N. AMT can build excessive heat if press brake too long at traffic light.

just make it this way, the longer u press ur brake, the longer ur amt press the clutch, the longer u activate ur clutch the longer ur amt pump will work hard; thus heats build up. sad.gif

I'm just received my savvy last week. Silver color H-line AMT.
I heard a lot of problem on AMT ..i'm already scared. I notice that everytime changing gear got sound from kruk..kruk.. especially on gear 1 until 3. Is it normal??? The 1st gear also change around 2.5rpm..not feel good when drive slowly around 10-15km/j in jalan kampung ..always jerk2 due to high rev.

kruk kruk is normal.

D gear change at 2.5rpm and above. if want to change gear lower than 2.5rpm use manual mode instead.

this engine rev high quite normal also. no need to worry. 6k rpm all the way! laugh.gif

if possible maintain ur warranty.

dont b paranoid. go to savoc.net read all any related problems with AMT and how to avoid it for the time being.

though i admit a lot of problems might occur after 50k km. sad.gif touch wood la touch wood. hopefully after 150k still good.

btw, welcome to the club!

damn. silver hiline. i want that color but too bad. i got energy orange instead.

p/s: remember put to N when stopping at traffic light. dont press ur brake too long.

I apply engine brake all the time coz scare something might happen IF the parking brake failed.... So basically I need to put it from 1/D to N before I start my car and I need to depress the brake pedal to engage the gear.

Impending or not, a lot of things had been done and even Renautech said this problem has no cure..... doh.gif

I do put it to N whenever the car is not running. So I don't think that might be the case.

From my understanding, the clutch is actuated by the TCU programming & not by the brake pedal even though there's a brake switch governing the pedal position......

If not imagine you have to control the brake to start going on traffic light...... doh.gif whistling.gif

hello guys,

i would say i am a future savvy owner (hopefully)..smile.gif

but there is still couple of things that make me hesitate to make a decision yet.

ive been reading savvy related threads here at lowyatt and savoc, and so far i can say, more savvy owner got problem with AMT savvy..yes, i do know some of you who didnt get such problems with ur savvy..but still the percentage and probability of getting it still higher. and if im not mistaken, after 50,000km mileage, AMT savvy (or maybe manual savvy too?) more prone to get "sick"...

so can anyone of u guys here, explain to me, is it worth ur money to get a AMT savvy? put aside the perfomance & beauty, i was talking bout an extra payment for maintenance..(some ppl do take care of their car but still get into this problem).

some more, i live in sabah, and i am quite sure, spare part prices was quite high then in peninsular, also i dont know whether AMT spare part easy to find here or not..this also things i hav to consider :/

i do like AMT savvy, i would like to try it..but i dont think it worth it if "slalu kong", high maintenance cost..

can someone here explain why take manual savvy not AMT savvy?..(any other reason other than "i like manual" thinggy, more into "y i choose manual over AMT").

i want to ask more, but i just cant remember, maybe after this..so maybe all my doubt bout savvy will be cleared.
