try not to run dry ur car that often. its very bad for ur fuel pump.

Second that. Don't do that if you want your car to last long! It damages the car!

Calculating FC is very easy. Just fill up full until pump stop, drive for x km, fill up full again. Your FC is xkm/ litre pumped on 2nd fill up.

Why drive until car no petrol??? doh.gif

sometimes i also feel like wanna try to run dry my car. just wanna know how many km can go until tank empty. so, incase of emergency like no petrol station nearby, we can agak-agak how far we still can jalan.

want to know how much u can run? just do this:

max petrol tank = 40liter
max pumpable volume = 30 liter (check ur receipt)
so ur reserve = 10 liter
half it so 5 liter runs 50 km. keep the other 5 liter for absolute empty.

Hi there Savvy owners,

I'm gonna get an AMT savvy, i heard it has lots of issue but I hate to drive manual during traffic jam so...i hope the new Savvy is improved.

I'm just wondering, if driving an AMT savvy, is it gonna be more fuel efficient to drive it manually or same even if we use auto?

I've been browsing here and there on this but haven't found anyone talk abt it..or maybe here already mention but this thread damn long..

Anyone pls advise yea i'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

based on certain condition, in auto mode, it tend to hold lower gear at high rpm. so u make a guess which one is more fuel saving. hehe.

guys,

smhow i got a feeling ron 95 make my fc worse la. before i got around 17km/l. now around 14km/l. doh.gif sweat.gif

im not sure this is due to my foot or not. but i think, no diff woo. no heavy footing. normal driving. nod.gif

40liter is my estimate la. calculation method the same.
probably the tank size is 40l but got some air space or reserve reserve to keep the fuel pump moist to protect itself.

Thanks for the response.
Actually I'm also still thinking whether I should get the AMT or not.
I scared it'll bring me so much trouble.

I don't mind manual..just hate to drive manual when facing traffic jam. Living in PJ for sure will face jam one...

But i've booked the AMT anyway...what do u guys think?

Added on September 10, 2009, 10:03 pmand my driving style is pretty harsh. normally change gear when rpm reach 4k. sometimes if wanna play play, change gear at 5.5k rpm laugh.gif

actually, u hv to understand first how amt works. then u need to know how to take care of it so u can preserve it lifetime much longer.

during traffic jam, i will use auto mode. when leisure or spirited driving i will use manual mode. hehe.

bro mutt! changing hear at high rpm wont damage ur amt la. haha. but will damage ur gearbox wooo! dont forget to change ur gearbox oil when due. tongue.gif

edit

when i first got my car, im not really sure about amt and how it works. got 2 3 times my amt pump overheated; thus cannot change gear, auto change to manual.

send to sc to rectified the probs. they did smthg but mostly they only fix the software. after that, i go to savoc.net and from there a lot of members shared with us how to take care our amt and also explain how it works.

till now, my car edy clocking 30k km + and i didn't experience any probs with my amt anymore. smile.gif

p/s: still i believe u need good luck when buying amt! laugh.gif nod.gif

Thanks for the tips n stuff. Yeah i've registerred savoc.net and read afew stuffs there. but yet to understand the whole AMT thing..still. and that's why i just proceed to book the car anyway..i believe there's solution for the problem d LOL

Yeah luck very important. But from my experience my hands will always turns electronic stuff into a disaster. I studied electrical n electronics during uni days and during labworks anything i touch will not work (even prev. it's workg fine)
at home..even if i use high end PC..it will still have problem here n there after sometime use..maybe i like to strain the damn thing or what u dunno lah..damn.

Now it started to sound like my body got lotsa bad static.
