believe me,at first i also thought not to play games when studying at UTM KL..
but after 2 months, i started to play games again..
even on study week also a spend my time 'lepak'ing and playing PC games for 5 days straight (completed need for speed carbon in one night)..
tak bleh tahan la kalau tak main games...
but when it come to study, i make it serious..

btw,juz grab C2D, 1 GB ram and of course ge force powered graphic card for ur lappy..

Sport's day wear the college shirt and track pants
Formal should be white shirt and black pants. (It will be inform in the manual which you will receive thru mail soon)
You can always go back the next weekend if you stay near.

Homesick..? I think its normal... its oso hapen to my coursemate when im in 1st year..... u noe what, she crying.. Uwaaa...

If you are thinking of bring your motorbike/car, please don't.
Me and my friends had many great memories, walking together as a big group or small group here and there. We could make fun jokes and talk and talk while walking to our destination.
It really builds up your friendship and memories.
I personally had good memories of exploring UTM on foot during the first year. I went to the library, CICIT (computer lab), my fac, other fac, food court, back to college all by foot. It was great =)
Getting exercise and discovering new stuff at UTM =)

If you are not in the mood to walk, there is the bus service. Once my friend, sat in the bus not to go somewhere but just to see the sites/places around UTM. She took a map of UTM (to know the name of the places), got on the bus, saw all the sites along the way and finally got off at the starting point.

UTM FKE is the scariest place on earth wahaha who will enter facutly of electrical,beware of the faculty..
1.fail 1,u can get kick out from the generous FKE!!wahaha
2.wear no collar shirt to class,penalty RM50!
3.wear sliper,go room take shoes without sliper on ur way to room!
4.if u dun use senior words to senior,u will be in the blacklist of KTC
5.u see DEKAN but did not say hi,u will get pointer lower than 2.5
6.u get MICE(microelectronic dept) beware of Mr Zulfakar,pro digital system design lecturer,u cant give correct answer to what he ask,u die!!
7.ur hair touch ears,collar in lab,beware one 1 techinician who is really busy body,he will BOTAK ur hair!!
8.parking at not allowed parking lot,ur car or motorcycle will get clamped!RM100 will be fined!
9.beware of AKE in sem 1,many ppl will get kicked out because of this subject!
10.u flirt girls without permission of senior,u will be blacklisted!(errr..no comment)
11.whatever school u comes from,dun get too proud,u r just a ordinary person,ur knowledge is zero when u step to the GREAT UTM and u will find all ur knowledge needed here..many of SBP schools students get kicked out coz of duno how to find information,coz in SBP all teachers give the test,information,notes bla bla..in FKE u find urself..if u r lazy,dun be an engineer,dun step to FKE..
12.bla bla bla bla....

advice from me-join ROBOCON the greatest robo team in malaysia and find ur final year senior to get superb knowledge!!we r the ruler of engineering in this country wahahaha

haha this is a killer subject for 1st sem student, tho in reality its not that hard

dun worry, in engineering faculty, especially electrical and mechanical, the ratio for male and female student is 10:1..
so if u want a gf, search gals from other facs

By the way the only problem with engineering course in UTM is that the lack of chicks... which is good ...for me ...

certain hostel blocks have those watercoolers with heaters,
but it's better if u buy ur own heater to boil water..

if FKE is that extreme, u might wanna consider FAB, the other end of the spectrum:

i. failure is cool and celebrated. even the top students intentionally failed so they dont look to much of a nerd.
ii. u can practically wear anything to class. sometimes, the lesser the better. even lecturers wear jeans and round neck shirts.
iv. everybody is on first name basis. sometimes even with the lecturers.
vii. u can have long hair, but it must be stylish. imagine the hongkong/japan pop stars...
x. u may flirt with anyone u want. but be aware that the girls have the final say. if they say no, it means no.
xi. u may only brag if u come from top schools. MRSM is not included.

other than that not neccessary to be jean , as long as long pants wit any collar shirt will do.
for those going to utm this coming july,
get those comfortable leather shoes or ur leg will gg while walking to da dewan during orientation XD
