I am from the Management fac. Human Resource Development 3rd year.
Sure you can wear jeans. What course did you get?
But like said earlier, you need to wear formal for the orientation week.
The orientation week is going very fun and exciting.
from 6 am till midnight or 1 am or 2 am
I really miss my orientation week.
Was superb (even with lack of sleep) got to know many new friends and learn new stuff.
Hope that all juniors will enjoy your orientation week =)

Students from Diploma usually placed in a college far from main area. ... so can bring motorcycle..


Before the registration.. they will send a cheque... after that they will brief that during orientation week...

Usually workers in UTM dont follow time one... so you can come later.... because UTHM nearer to selangor compared to UTM...bring somebody to clean the rooms.. hehehe

don't worry. You can do it by yourself.
There will be a special speech on loans during the orientation
Plus if you need more information on loans, you can contact the Pusat Kaunseling UTM.
They will brief you on all sorts of loans too.
If you need any adding help, you can contact us (lowyat members) for assistance. We will be glad to help you out =)

helo..i'm from electrical faculty majoring computer engineering.
for those tat kena kolej tuanku chanselor,u'll hv to walk a distance to kolej9 in order to get better food at nite...
no dobi...but got washing machine in almost evry blok,depends on which blok u r staying...
u might wonder how big is utm...if from one side walk to another far side...nid an hour++...
for all 1st yrs, better prepare a comfortable shoes to walk la..
or if u dare u seludup ur motor in la...haha...it's possible tho...
for the orientation week...i suggest u all to bring at least 3sets of formal...coz usually not much time for u to do laundry...coz usually 6.30am nid to gather n can onli go back around 1am-2am...basically most ppl stink during tat week...especially when gather at kolej dewan...ikan masin feel...haha
one more thg...reporting day no nid to b tat punctual if u really cant make it on time...sum ppl even come at night..haha

I wanted to get a laptop, as some said, better get laptop at Skudai just in case send for warranty.
Do i need powerful laptop for "Graphic & Multimedia Software" course.?

i think u should see the subject first..
if the subject is like 3D animation or video editing, then we need a quite powerful pc/laptop to do the rendering job..
but i think for first year student, the syllabus is basic and no need a powerful laptop spec..juz get a normal one..

if i were u i buy desktop, coz easy 2 upgrade...laptop with pentium 4(3.0) and 1gb ram also enough...
if u want to buy laptop, better buy aspire, easy 2 upgrade...coz hp and dell really picky in changing hardware...(just from my opinion)...
try ask s3polz...if im not mistaken, he want to sell his desktop....

so i plan to buy low-end laptop for my UNI life and schoolwork..
i play lot of game like COD4, DMC, Assassin's Creed..
but is study time, not really into gaming dy...

i already check ur syllabus,u will not learning 3d in 1st year...n laptop not good for randering 3d...
minimum spec for render 3d is pentium 4 (3.0ghz), 4 gb ram n of coz graphic card...but donno about minimum spec for the latest 3dmax....
but for randering video, C2D 2.0 n 2g ram...this my friend pc spec, coz he always make montaj for hep utmkl....(he also taking SE in UTM )
just buy laptop below rm2500 also can...normaly on first year u will learn photoshop n flash/authorware, donno if it still the same...
try to buy when u r in second semester lar, no need 2 rush...
