I am too from UTM
Going for my final year next sem at FPPSM (management fac)

Now should be much stable and wider coverage.
Almost 80% of UTM has WIFI
You must of the time will be using WIFIUTM to access online.
So what course did you get?

I am from the Management fac. Human Resource Development 3rd year.
Sure you can wear jeans. What course did you get?
But like said earlier, you need to wear formal for the orientation week.
The orientation week is going very fun and exciting.
from 6 am till midnight or 1 am or 2 am
I really miss my orientation week.
Was superb (even with lack of sleep) got to know many new friends and learn new stuff.

don't worry. You can do it by yourself.
There will be a special speech on loans during the orientation
Plus if you need more information on loans, you can contact the Pusat Kaunseling UTM.
They will brief you on all sorts of loans too.
If you need any adding help, you can contact us (lowyat members) for assistance. We will be glad to help you out =)

Yup, one week before we all start classes.
I think on saturday (5 July) should have sport's day.

HRD is a great course and you will meet nice lectures =)

Sport's day wear the college shirt and track pants
Formal should be white shirt and black pants. (It will be inform in the manual which you will receive thru mail soon)
You can always go back the next weekend if you stay near.

If you are thinking of bring your motorbike/car, please don't.
Me and my friends had many great memories, walking together as a big group or small group here and there. We could make fun jokes and talk and talk while walking to our destination.
It really builds up your friendship and memories.
I personally had good memories of exploring UTM on foot during the first year. I went to the library, CICIT (computer lab), my fac, other fac, food court, back to college all by foot. It was great =)
Getting exercise and discovering new stuff at UTM =)

If you are not in the mood to walk, there is the bus service. Once my friend, sat in the bus not to go somewhere but just to see the sites/places around UTM. She took a map of UTM (to know the name of the places), got on the bus, saw all the sites along the way and finally got off at the starting point.

I will be staying there next sem. The place (Kolej Tun Hussein Onn) is alright. There are tennis and basketball courts. Plus near by to cengal (food court). You will normally get a two ppl sharing room. The room is is big enough. Don't worry.



KTR (kolej tun razak) is alright too. Your 2nd year seniors (HRD) are staying there too. The college is near to the Pusat Kesihatan, and there other facilities there. No problems =)

If you dare to 'pegang', you will receive 5 finger whack on your face times by 30 gals in the bus. Then, you can count how much 'pain' your will receive on your face!

That's true. Please don't be selfish. If you want to download a lot of stuff like torrents please get streamyx or maxis/celcom broadband.
There are many other students who want to do the assignments and research work.

We here new batch, further pushed for the more wireless coverage around UTM.
Now there is WCC Broadband (our own technology from FKE) and around 80% of UTM can wireless now.

Please keep your stuff safe. When going out from the room, please close the WINDOWS and LOCK the door.
There were incidents, where the thief took the items from your table(cause your windows was open) and just open your unlocked door to take your stuff.
When going out from the room for a long time, do keep all your valuables in the cupboard and lock it.
Prevention is the key.

Guys and gals, this is good time for you all to get to know all the students in the bloc and at least at your floor.
They can help you out when in need and you can help them out too =)
When I was in M16 (KTDI), I got to know everyone I can in the bloc. Especially, in on my level 2. (then I became the Ketua Aras)
It was great even though most of them on my level were from a different course, we got along great.
Had a lot of interesting stuff to talk about daily including when in the toilet before brushing teeth/ waiting to use the toilets.
Great memories...

Yes, the furniture is in the progress of being changed for all the inner ring colleges. (KTHO,KTDI,KTF,K11,KRP,KTR)
KTC already just changed their furniture last semester.
So, mostly everyone is getting new stuff in their room (including new mattress).
Please do take good care of the furniture, so the future generation of juniors will get to enjoy good furniture just like you did.

I am a senior HRD from management fac. Most of the gals here, wear black pants. Some of them got wear skirt but below the knee.
That's for formal days (monday). Other days you can wear jeans.

The lectures are not like that. They will grade you on who you are and how well you perform in class and in the exams.
Nothing to do with your cloths. Trust me..

I will like to see some statistics on that.
We need hard proof.

Like your fac, college area, tasik, the field, balai cerap....
This will give the juniors a view on how utm looks like...

I am not from electrical engineering.
I will just talk about the food.
The food is not that expensive.
A dish with rice,vegetable, and meat is around RM 2.70 - RM 3.50
Fried food is around RM 2.50 - RM 3.50
There are other dishes too..
Depends which college you are staying.
You can get a variety of food and drinks

There are batik that less than RM 100.
Look around...

Got info from a facilitator, that utm not giving out batik this year
