Anyone here can guide me? 1st time applying for loan, i really have no idea wat to do. Heard tat have to open SSPN acc. from CIMB Bank Then open another acc. either at Bank Simpanan Nasional or Bank Islam. Wat's next? *My parents salary exceed RM2500, but have to bear 2 family member study, will i able to get full loan?* And, i might have a little trouble on the register day. My brother entering UTHM on the same day as I enter UTM, both is in Johor, but still how can 1 car bring 2 ppl stuff? It state tat the register is 8.30 - 11.00, izit mean tat i can come later after done my brother stuff, mayb around 10.00am...? **Do i need my parents around on register day? signing stuff / paying fees all tat.. * don't worry. You can do it by yourself. There will be a special speech on loans during the orientation Plus if you need more information on loans, you can contact the Pusat Kaunseling UTM. They will brief you on all sorts of loans too. If you need any adding help, you can contact us (lowyat members) for assistance. We will be glad to help you out =) This post has been edited by mdineshp: Jun 19 2008, 12:15 PM |

If you are thinking of bring your motorbike/car, please don't.
Me and my friends had many great memories, walking together as a big group or small group here and there. We could make fun jokes and talk and talk while walking to our destination. It really builds up your friendship and memories. I personally had good memories of exploring UTM on foot during the first year. I went to the library, CICIT (computer lab), my fac, other fac, food court, back to college all by foot. It was great =) Getting exercise and discovering new stuff at UTM =) If you are not in the mood to walk, there is the bus service. Once my friend, sat in the bus not to go somewhere but just to see the sites/places around UTM. She took a map of UTM (to know the name of the places), got on the bus, saw all the sites along the way and finally got off at the starting point. The place (Kolej Tun Hussein Onn) is alright. There are tennis and basketball courts. Plus near by to cengal (food court). You will normally get a two ppl sharing room. The room is is big enough. Don't worry. Thanks for any answer. QUOTE(SookLee @ Jun 20 2008, 04:52 AM) KTR (kolej tun razak) is alright too. Your 2nd year seniors (HRD) are staying there too. The college is near to the Pusat Kesihatan, and there other facilities there. No problems =) |

QUOTE(azarimy @ Jun 20 2008, 05:24 PM) i urge everyone NOT to use torrent or any other stuff that hogs the network. this is a university, researchers and lecturers use the same network for research and academic stuff. back in 1999 i was one of the student leaders to push for free internet for every student, and they eventually agreed. before 1999, internets are only accessible from computer labs - no personal computers, LAN, wireless (ofcourse ler) or private lines. That's true. Please don't be selfish. If you want to download a lot of stuff like torrents please get streamyx or maxis/celcom broadband.so today u have the facility to access the internet remotely and within the privacy of ur own computers. dont hog the network. if u want to torrent or what not, get ur own streamyx line to ur room! There are many other students who want to do the assignments and research work. Good job azarimy! We here new batch, further pushed for the more wireless coverage around UTM. Now there is WCC Broadband (our own technology from FKE) and around 80% of UTM can wireless now. This post has been edited by mdineshp: Jun 20 2008, 06:48 PM |

Please keep your stuff safe. When going out from the room, please close the WINDOWS and LOCK the door.
There were incidents, where the thief took the items from your table(cause your windows was open) and just open your unlocked door to take your stuff. When going out from the room for a long time, do keep all your valuables in the cupboard and lock it. Prevention is the key. Guys and gals, this is good time for you all to get to know all the students in the bloc and at least at your floor. They can help you out when in need and you can help them out too =) When I was in M16 (KTDI), I got to know everyone I can in the bloc. Especially, in on my level 2. (then I became the Ketua Aras) It was great even though most of them on my level were from a different course, we got along great. Had a lot of interesting stuff to talk about daily including when in the toilet before brushing teeth/ waiting to use the toilets. Great memories... Hope you guys will make many friends and beautiful memories at UTM =) |

QUOTE(ryukario @ Jun 21 2008, 12:40 AM) thanks alot, vxeon Just enjoy yourself. are you new student of utm (like me??) i little bit scare, it is the first time i enter the U. I bet you will be having a great time in UTM, with all your new friends. Thinking each weekend, what to do, where to lepak.... =) Yes, the furniture is in the progress of being changed for all the inner ring colleges. (KTHO,KTDI,KTF,K11,KRP,KTR) KTC already just changed their furniture last semester. So, mostly everyone is getting new stuff in their room (including new mattress). Please do take good care of the furniture, so the future generation of juniors will get to enjoy good furniture just like you did. Thank you for your cooperation =) |

I don't think so..
The lectures are not like that. They will grade you on who you are and how well you perform in class and in the exams. Nothing to do with your cloths. Trust me.. |
