Oh .. poor 3G coverage? THAT much I'm sure of lar, but.. when out of case.. 2 bar 3G.. when in case.. 1 bar 3G.. repeated for a few times so.... Aluminium case... looks cool, feels cool... not so cool to the radio. ahahahah tongue.gif

I know it sounds weird, but in RF's case the presence of metal may or may not increase the field strength. Metal can be thought as an absorber of RF energy. That is why conventional wisdom dictates that it will reduce the sensitivity of your transceiver. After all, it is a large ground plane.

@davidmak, i've contacted HTC and they said the roms will be available on their site. i think its already there?

No I can't find any. When I logged in and go to the Device Update section. There's no pull down menu. As a result, I am unable to see a thing regarding the updates. Can anyone confirm?

Added on July 14, 2008, 4:12 pmGuys,

One question. How do you change the default alarm ringtone on the Touch Diamond? I went to Settings>Sounds & Notifications, I cannot find an entry for the alarm tone. Could someone point me to the right place to change that default ringtone? I wanted to try pTravelAlarm but TouchFlo3D is not linked to the alarm schedule, so it will not display the next alarm time.

Are there any other places IN kl or pj to get those silicone cases or leather cases shown on PDAir ? Are they around the same price or something because some dude told me that pertama & campbell complex sells such cases for a cheaper price.

I don't know about PDAir but I know FreshGear is selling Krussels for Touch Diamond now. Maybe you can check it out, if there are any PDairs. Also PDA Expert might be selling those because I remember they are bundling them together with Touch Diamond.

It looks like TD's photo album does not sort the images according to the name. It messes up the pic's order. Any ideas?

In my opinion, I don't think PC Fair will cause manufacturers to reduce their price. They don't follow this trend a long long time. Instead, the new trend would be to offer more value to a product but at the same price point. We've already seen laptop manufacturers offering super good specifications not obtainable on any day at the same retail price. Some offers more freebies and accessories which are very valuable.

We should see PDA shops offering accessories like leather casing, chargers, extra batteries, and stuff like that. Probably they can offer you a reduced price without these extras but not too much. The next 'in' among sellers are to offer purchase-with-purchase deals. That is you spend a little more, you get a higher price accessory and save some money if purchased individually. Thats another trap. Hehehe! They make you pay for getting extra value, an extra value you would otherwise not need it if you're not on a buying impulse.

You mean the thread here?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398265

I just performed no. 1 & no. 3(though that's not touchflo related), but I halved the values cause hey.. more numbers there means less free resources, works well enough for me.

And always remember you can slide through the panels by dragging the current selected tab and sliding, much much faster than swishing the tabs one by one.

Hey guys, past few days I`ve been having some problems with my unit. Hoping u guys can help me out:

1) Unit hangs for no apparent reason
2) the 3G symbol when there is 3G coverage becomes grainy for no apparent reason. After a while, it goes back to normal.

My problems all started when I installed the Stratagus (Warcraft 2) software in my device. Despite uninstalling it, the problems persist.

1) no idea. it shouldnt do that. i doubt its stratagus related. i have no problems
2) This grainy means its searching for 3G network and attaching itself. nothing to do with stratagus.

@davidmak, where u set the alarm time? u set the ringtone there as well

You got me there bro! Hahaha! I didn't know that the bell is 'touchable'!!! No wonder I was so confused. I used the LG KS20 before and had no problems. I seem to have forgotten all about that. Thanks anyway.
