Added on July 26, 2008, 12:09 ambtw... i read from some previous post, saying that the home, call buttons faulty.just need to apply some pressure on the buttons for it to work, no need to press the buttons until u hear the click sound.

but for my phone, i need to press until i hear the click sound only the buttons will function.. so meaning my buttons faulty also? just curious..
*
I don't think the buttons are faulty. They are not touch sensitive buttons but just normal buttons. Just press until you get a tactile feedback like normal keypads. Unless you hear funny sounds that should not be emitted from it, then there could be a problem. Otherwise, there's no reason why it is faulty.

QUOTE(bakkutt3h @ Jul 26 2008, 02:26 AM)
so far whats the overall for the battery consumption ? how long can it last for few calls and few messages a day...?

sry just wondering.....since now have quite a numbers of TD owners
*
If you use your phone extensively, you'll probably need to recharge at the end of the working day. Otherwise regular usage like calling and texting, it could withstand one and a half days. Minimal usage, it can withstand up to 2 and a half days. And yes, the battery life sucks because it only houses a small battery to keep the profile slim, so no complains here.

No complains when on the move. The official car charger can charge the phone very very fast. 20minutes to bring the it to 40-50% capacity. Good for a day use.

QUOTE(candccom @ Jul 26 2008, 04:08 PM)
The HTC service centre at lowyat will be moving out back to glemarie start next month. the extended battery is not available yet. need to wait for another 2-3 months. now only the standard battery & genuine pouch available for sales.
*
Har??? No more in Lowyat? Then so far in Glenmarie? Wow.... shocking.gif

Thanks Candccom for the input. Btw anybody can gives me proper direction to SIS Glenmarie? Near DRB??? I guess SIS hit also by rising cost hence only one Service Centre? Hope the extended battery could fit in the slide HTC pouch

Nope.. the extended battery will increase the thickness of your td, thus don't think can fit into the pouch anymore. the extended battery come with self back cover.

Whoooaaaaa shakehead.gif Thats really ugly man. I think HTC ones would be the same design as the slim cover albeit 'taller'. Ive seen somewhere - European site the case...quite okay. Slimmer than Touch Pro (but not that much different)

No doubt 1800 capacity is most welcome for TD ...but form factor is one of the reason i bought the TD. Im not sure whether to buy extended battery and waste my money coz already bought the pouch or get additional 900 battery? But to sacrifice my TD handsome look for 1800 battery - i dont think i would do that. Subjet to personal preferences

i bought mine is third party 1800MaH battery. my sister studying in UK so she bought for me as birthday present, bringing with her when she returns from UK in august 5th

PERSONALLY i dun think its THAT ugly? sure its a bit weird. but its a powerhouse. mwahaha

Actually the increased battery capacity is a nice addition. But they shouldn't have designed the battery cover with a bulge. I would rather the battery cover to be flat and thick. At least it maintains the profile.

Maxis broadband? You mean the wireless internet wifi thing? Connect to wifi can no problem. Im using maxis 3G with full HSDPA support - depends on coverage area. I think during PC Fair...TD will come with some sort of extra freebies?? Maybe no price reduction...but stuffs like petrol voucher, external HD and BT??? drool.gif

This Extended Battery looks like a cooler fan at the back of TD. Like this Nokia you mean?

This extended battery design is more acceptable although with about the same thickness as above. However, the back cover will affect the camera's picture quality.

some users complaining in XDA with the 1800 mah battery having problem with GPS signal! wtf, when i get mine must test. i cant believe HTC ran the GPS cable behind the battery!!!

its like "lets make our customers suffer, if they want uber power usage with extended battery, we take away their gps, if they want gps, lets make their diamond battery die fast! and all the while we charge em extremely high price. mwahah"

Yeah. I agree with you. Welcome to the typical Chinese business world. laugh.gif

If I'm da boss. I'll even make sure 3rd party won't be able to clone the battery and sell at lower price. Demand is there... chance to earn more $$money$$

nonamemacau, i have the same problem, but mine appeared only after using a while. i can only surmise that its something that will occur after a period of usage. i dun think it'll get worse though
