The shutdown is very fast.
But to startup after that, requires hours of cooling ! You can read the last few posts here about such

Thanks Laowai. That was super fast shutdown for a projector.
Are you guys using UPS to protect the projector's lamp in the event of power failure? Any cheap and good UPS to recommend? |

I'm still contemplating whether to get this PJ or upgrade to 40" Full HD LCD (currently using 32").
And, is there a place where I can audition this PJ? Thanks bros. |

I am wondering myself,
if my room isn't too big, maybe can put up a max 60" screen. if choose HD project, after the screen and setup up definately more than RM15k a Full HD 50" plasma also costs RM15k. a Full HD 50" LCD maybe costs a little bit less. What would you guy suggest? This post has been edited by Reix: Nov 26 2008, 07:45 PM |

QUOTE(Ninja @ Nov 26 2008, 02:27 PM) I'm still contemplating whether to get this PJ or upgrade to 40" Full HD LCD (currently using 32"). Bro, shall I demo it to you at Minas Mogul? And, is there a place where I can audition this PJ? Thanks bros. QUOTE RM15k for screen and projector? which model is this? I think he is considering 1080p pj which is about RM10K (cheapest). Then, need to buy a long HDMI cable (branded 10m HDMI will sets you back by nearly RM1,000). A 92" or 106" fixed screen from a renowned brand is about RM3K+. |

Guys, I noticed a ~1" border (dark grey color) around the 4 sides of the picture. I try to adjust the brightness/contrast with no success to eliminate the border. Just wondering is this a common for HD65.

this is not common. maybe due to your movie resolution size, aspect ratio.
try another file and see. |

I'm displaying 16:9 fullscreen movie. Tried on other movies also the same.
On the blue screen (no video signal), can also see rectangle borders on the 4 sides. I also reset the HD65 with no success. |

It is normal to have the black borders. Normally you will project onto a projector screen and those screen will come with black borders too.
You adjust ur projector so that the projection borders are aligned to the screen black borders. |

Tks for sharing n also d remedy action. At least I know this is not a defect.
Actually I'm DIY the screen. The screen size is slightly bigger even with max zoom. Will think a way to wrap the unwanted area with black fabric. |

nope. the image cannot entirely fit the screen.
when making the screen, the measurement was taken with projector on the table. now the projector is hanging and the wall fixture length shorten the throw distance, hence reduce the projected image size. perhaps this is a lesson learned for DIY. |
